Th fan works awesome! It has a motor that pulls the heat out of our greenhouse very well. It isn't very heavy at all, which made the installation very easy and the price was great! The thermosat control did stop working so I gave it a 4 star rating.

I have a a 800 square foot shop that I use this in to exhaust diesel and gas tools. Used it this winter one day for a friend to weld for 6 hours. Kept our shop clean and free of exhaust and smoke while working. Without it, would have been very tough to work. Can pull in plenty of fresh air and exhaust out that smoke very nice! Like that I can change fan speed. I like the plug, but can hardwire it as well.

We got this for our hoop house to help regulate the temperature and not cook our plants. It worked well all summer.

I recently purchased the iLIVING 12" Greenhouse Exhaust Fan, and I've been thoroughly impressed with its performance. The fan is incredibly efficient and effectively circulates air throughout my greenhouse, helping to regulate temperature and humidity levels. The fan's build quality is top-notch, and it's clear that it's designed to withstand the harsh conditions of a greenhouse environment. The fan operates quietly, which is a huge plus, especially when I'm spending time working in the greenhouse.Installation was straightforward, and I appreciated the clear instructions that came with the fan. The adjustable speed settings allow me to customize the airflow based on the specific needs of my plants, which is a fantastic feature.Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the iLIVING 12" Greenhouse Exhaust Fan. It has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, durability, and ease of use. I would highly recommend this fan to any greenhouse owner looking for an efficient and reliable solution for air circulation.

I have a 8x10 greenhouse. Cut a hole in back wall to mount this. It’s temperature controlled so comes on as needed. Also has a fan speed to control how fast it cools. So far works very well.

Installed it in my wife's 10'x20' aluminum frame and glass greenhouse. Fan runs smooth and does not rattle the structure. Thermostat works as expected - in the heat of summer it has run none stop and not a squeak or rattle.

I installed this in my metal garage/shed. Its a 20x20 and only has 1 gable vent.I also had to install 2 flat steel bars horizontally to mount the fan cage to as I didn't want to screw directly in the steel siding.I removed the flaps that came with the fan so it could mount flush, as I wanted to install this inside the garage and not worry about retrofitting it to the existing hole for the gable vent as it was slightly smaller than this fans cage was.I was able to mount the fan very close to the existing gable vent so it pushes that air out very well.I have temporarily plugged it in with the thermostat at ground level which works OK as it seems to work very well and doesn't turn off until the temp it low enough.I have it at full speed and it is actually pretty quiet! On the outside you can barely hear it and on the inside it isn't that loud to where its annoying. You can slow down the fan and it does cause a bit of vibration with how I have it mounted, but I wanted it at full speed anyway.I felt like the whole package was high quality and so far after about a month of use, I would recommend this to anyone!

It's an easy install and works right out of the box. Just plug and play.It moves a good bit of air and is actually quite quiet. I can't hear it in the basement with the garage door closed and it doesn't vibrate at all unlike my fan hood in the kitchen.Haven't used the temp switch as I plugged it into a remote switch before going into the outlet and will just turn it on when I'm sawing or painting to remove dust and fumes.Great addition to the clean air aspect of the work space. Longevity remains to be seen but will update. So far a ten for the price and convenience.Recommended.

All parts of the fan arrived in good condition and worked well out-of-the-box. The temperature controller has some hysteresis which was expected. So far the only negatives have been: 1.) the flange was too wide to fit between normal studs, but an angle grinder made short work of the edges, and 2.) it makes some electrical and/or resonance "buzz" noises at lower fan speeds, but that doesn't really matter in a garage like where I have mine installed. The fan moves a lot of air for its size! I'll be interested to see how it fairs over winter (I won't be using it then, but it's not installed in a temperature-controlled environment).

I installed this fan in my garage to vent the heat out in the evenings. Oh boy, did it make a difference! My wife and I were shocked at how well this unit performs - it's strong enough to create a vacuum against the door to the house so that when we enter the garage it pulls the door shut behind us. It's reduce the temperature in the garage by 8-10 degrees Celsius in the evenings (on a hot day would get to 28C and now we can get it under 20C by midnight. The house subsequently is cooler, specifically the bedroom above the garage. It was a big difficult to find a vent cover that I could use on the outside of the house, as I didn't want to leave it open. I found a 14x14 metal cover at Rona for about $35 which has done the trick. The wiring was pretty straightforward (green under green screw, black to black, white to white) but the instructions are terrible. Take a few pictures of your wiring and have an electrician friend confirm your wiring if you're not certain about it.We also purchased the wireless controller system. It works really well and is pretty easy to figure out (again, the instructions suck but it's pretty straightforward). Would highly recommend this add-on.One other thing - the baffles on the back side of the unit are awesome. The overall unit is much more commercial grade/industrial than I was expecting - I was expecting something a little stronger than a 150 CFM bathroom fan but this thing can crush a lot of airflow and is not even in the same league as a bathroom fan.We didn't realize how much of a difference this fan has made, and have recommended it to many family and friends. If you have a garage or crawl space it's worth the investment, you'd be surprised!

I installed this fan in my 800sq foot shop and it has significantly improved the working conditions. Aside from venting dust, it has improved the temperature in my shop by about 20 degrees on the hottest days. My shop no shade, is a dark color and has high ceilings. I installed this on the back wall gable about two feet below the peak of the roof.Normally, at 5’ off the ground and at the front of my shop, I would run about 25 degree F hotter than outside temp- so here in Oregon, when temps hit the 80’s, the shop was just an oven. To date, including a day in the mid 90’s, I’m averaging 3 degrees above ambient outdoor temp, with 8 degrees above being the biggest jump.Installation is easy if you follow the directions (I managed to cut a couple inches too wide but was my fault and easy to fix). Match the model number to the opening size and you’re set. The fan is quieter than expected as well!It does pull a lot of air so either have an intake vent or do what I do- install a car door on the garage door and the fan will just pull air through that! There was no included thermostat so I purchased one at the local big box and added it, setting it very low (70 degree shut off). Otherwise, you could hardwire it on, to its own switch, on a timer, or to another switched circuit. The BIGGEST concern about this fan is there is no thermal fuse. So if there is a fire, this fan will run until it loses power or melts, which will dramatically accelerate the growth of the fire- as a firefighter, I’ve seen small fires consume entire houses because fans didn’t shut off. I would not use this in a residential structure without I installing a thermal fuse. This can be fixed by buying a thermostat with a fuse in it!Overall, a great value and I’m purchasing a second one for my house (and a thermally fused thermostat as well?
