Haven't officially used item yet. Was purchased for a new house build, after sitting in the box for about 3 months, was finally installed. Blower is way out of balance, vibrates and make noise. Emma from customer service was great, was able to get me a whole new unit, instead of just replacement parts. So far customer service is great, and the hood looks great!

I use these all the time in my business as I install cabinets. The last couple have had bad control panels,but customer service is ight on time and had replacements within a week and are simple to install. The hand sensor works fine and doesn’t require turning on the vent before. Will continue using these customers love them and great price

Nice unit, Everything works except, Hand gesture start does NOT work !!! Asking For Replacement unit or parts. 2 stars dropped for this. I will update once issues is resolved.Update- replacement parts received promptly and the unit is now operating as expected. Emma , Iktch Company rep.,, did a fantastic customer service job, promptly responding and very helpful.! Thank you!

The product works well, and I’m pleased with its overall performance. Initially, the gesture control function wasn’t working on the first panel I received, but customer service was excellent and quickly sent a replacement. The gesture control is now responsive.An improvement would be to increase the size of the steel filters to better capture the front burners, but overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

The fan looks great. There was an issue with the sensor not responding very easily. I wrote to the company and Dory answered the very next day. She acknowledged that there was an issue that they were working on and they sent a new electronic piece to resolve the issue. It came within days.The customer service was smooth, easy and fast! Thank you Dory!

Easy installation, well packaged, quick delivery, very powerful and quiet range insert. Looks awesome and provides all functions. Hand motion works great as does the remote. I was initially concerned on only two lights versus three - but they are bright and provide dimming function. Awesome product and definitely recommend over big box solutions.

High quality; measurements were exact, which made the installation seamless. The fan has low to high options- I’ve have yet to use the high as the lowest setting is quite powerful. Love the lights & the ability to dim- the hands free option is modern & useful. Highly recommended!

I rarely ever write reviews for anything cause i just don't have the time, but iKTCH's product support has impressed me so much that I've got to add my two cents here. I bought this range hood a little over 2 years ago and installed it myself above a new 36" 5-burner gas range while remodeling my kitchen. The kitchen originally had a down-draft vent that didn't work well so I custom built the walnut hood cover to fit this new range vent. Since I didn't have an existing hood, I can't say how easily this unit would fit/swap if you do have an existing hood, but it was easy enough to install as new. We cook on the gas range almost every day and it never has a problem quickly venting even the strongest cooking odors like frying fish or searing steak. Its easy to clean, powerful, adjustable, and the remote and motion controls work great. It has worked great for the last 2 years! Until last weekend....when it wouldn't turn on, and this is the most important part of my review. Any company can build a product that works great, but how a company supports their product when you have an issue is what builds their reputation and earns my repeat business. I immediately emailed the seller via the link in my Amazon order history and described the problem. Because they're based in China, the email I sent to iKTCH support was received at 3am Chinese time. Not even (7) hours later, I received a response asking a question about the symptoms and offering to ship me a replacement part at no cost. I replied and provided my address, they shipped the part, and since they keep stock at an Amazon warehouse close to me, I received it the next day. I installed the part the next day, which took a screw driver and about 15 minutes, but unfortunately it didn't fix the issue. I replied and let them know, and they immediately shipped another part for free that I received the next day. Now everything is working great again! Through the whole process, I was corresponding on one email thread with the same person, Mary, who was very courteous and responsive. If you've ever had to deal with another company that requires you to call in, sit on hold, "create a service ticket", and do that all over again with a new person to explain everything to them over and over, it really makes you appreciate how fast and easy it is to correspond with iKTCH support. Let alone the fact that despite being out of the stated warranty period, they quickly sent me parts at no cost. I've spent more money on on products from well-known brands and have not nearly received this level of commitment from them to support their products. Simply because they stand behind their products when an issue arises, I would highly recommend iKTCH to anyone.

The unit is easy to install (we exhaust through a 6in round aluminum flex pipe converted to a rectangular 3 1/2 x 10in ducting to our garage roof. Total length about 15ft of pipe+duct). The gesture function is really practical and easy to use. Amazingly quite on max speed 4. Lighting is bright and a warm white colour (slightly yellowish) which is easy on the eyes.It easily sucks a Kleenex tissue to the filters. The steel filters (baffles) go on easily, so it should be a breeze to remove them and regularly wash them in the dishwasher.Solid construction with no issues. The motor seems well built out of aluminum so minimal heat retention.Cons:Instructions were relatively complete, however, I would have appreciated a clearer picture of how the filter baffles bar gets installed. Had to spend 10 minutes trying to figure it out. Still not sure if I installed it correctly. But everything works great.Next, there is a clear plastic tray type of component that I have no idea where to install this. What is its purpose?Conclusion:After one day of use, we love it! The house air seems fresher and the sound is really not loud. On full speed 4, we could keep it running and not have to raise our voices or drive everyone nuts!Great buy so far! Well worth the $400 cdn.

Good looking hood. Pretty quiet on the low setting, but noisy when going full speed. While massive suction at 900cfm, hood needs to be mounted close to range top to draw in all fumes from cooking. We build the hood into a lowered ceiling above a cooking island. With the design not the easiest to clean and with the grease, the hood does should lots of smudges.

Here’s a summary of my experience. For the number lovers....The vent is installed in a custom hood enclosure around 26” above the range, extending about 3-4” on each side and covering about 80% of the range depth. The vent pipe run was kept as short as possible, starting with a 90 degree elbow right on top the vent outlet and then out the wall.While there is plentiful of air coming out on the other end of the wall, it doesn’t appear to translate into such a powerful suction as I expected, after the baffles are installed. At least that’s my first impression. Nevertheless it’s a huge improvement over the microwave vent that was installed there previously. Below are my likes/dislikesLike:- Size and Style- Love the “wave on/off” feature- decent bright LED lights- build qualityDislikes/Annoyances- the 6” adjustable elbow I got from the big box store did not fit into the groove of the plastic adapter which is attached to the top of the vent port. I had to cut the pipe a bit open and then overlap the sheet metal ends to fit into the groove. Depending on your vent method/materials it might not be an issue. However I recommend to check this beforehand.- while I love this “wave on/off” feature, it seems to have also a drawback. Due to the angled nature of the switch/display assembly, and the sensor working based on infrared, steam will collect there first before it’s being pulled back and out (see image). In my case I boiled water on the front burner and after a while it suddenly changed speed and then switch off. At the point it was set to level 2. Also to clarify... no one was nearby the unit and I didn’t use the timer function.- since the squirrel cage (blower) is only supported by the motor shaft, it tends to vibrate at higher speeds. It can be felt when touching the hood. (Not so much an issue for me thou)
