I live in an apartment that has a kitchen without an exhaust system, and fans/windows just aren't quite enough to remove smoke from cooking fumes or using even small amounts of oil. I'm also in a position where I cannot edit/modify any are of the apartment.This range hood hood is excellent for capturing all the smoke/fumes and allows me to cook easily without needing any additional fans or open windows. Requires no extra installation and just an outlet. The noise is a bit louder, so be aware of that when buying, and there are some minimal vibrations, but it's an incredibly powerful range hood I would absolutely recommend if trying to avoid any accidental smoke alarms.

This fan helps keep our kitchen smoke free. Especially when my husband is cooking. We would normally open the back door and our fire alarm will still be going off. But now we have that fan and it's been helping us so much. The air flow is amazing and the value for the price is great! The noise level is low so it does not disturb my cat or even me when i am reading. Perfect for people that live in an apartment!

Honestly, I had my doubts. But I thought it was worth the gamble. I have a gas stove, and I can’t use an overhead hood in my apartment. This fan Really helps get rid of the smell when you’re cooking fish. It even helps with smells from other parts of the kitchen. If there’s a strong odor coming from my toaster oven or my microwave, I turn it on and the smell dissipates in a couple of minutes. It’s much more effective than masking the smell with sprays. It’s a bit loud, but worth it!

I bought this as we can't duct an overhead vent hood over my stove. It has a small footprint and works very well. Removed odor very well and saw no smoke in the kitchen when cooking any food that smokes. It has a fairly small foot print and fits easily on the counter. We have a large gas stove and this product did not interfere with the flame at all. It does make some noise but so do many over head vent hoods. I also like the fact you can very easily change out the filtyer and they give you three extra. Until we get the kitchen remodeled...this is a very good alternative!

It is pretty powerful but I want to filter the smell. Unfortunately, I used for over a week. I don't know whether it filtered the grease or not but It indefinably didn't filter the smell at all.

Works great if your kitchen doesn’t have an exhaust fan. It’s noisy but I’d much rather listen to it then have my full of smoke and the smell overtaking my house. It will not get 100% of it, but it works great at getting the majority of it.
