High quality dial indicator, magnets are just the right strength (10 lbs), case/box not super nice, but good enough for storage. Instructions are nice and simple and easy to read. Overall I'm pretty happy either this. Comes with everything you need and is a great tool to have. Nothing is made of plastic and is sturdy. The machining on it is accurate, it sits very flat. The paint on the main body had some small scratches but that doesn't affect the functionality at all. If you don't like it because of a scratch then you are being too picky. It's a good tool!

The good:Feels solid, probably accurate.The bad:1. Arrived used. This would have been OK to me, but..2. The bottom wobbled, and wouldn't stay flat. This was a deal breaker.3. The indicator doesn't [seem to] come out of the base. I wanted to use the base with another indicator.iGaging is an excellent brand, and I'd probably buy this again if I saw it available locally (at Rockler or Woodcraft).

Very well made. Only complaint is that it is a bit talk so can't be used on a planer.
