Not bad for price but indicator cover does not fit the indicator. Pretty much pointless.

Good gauge for the person not needing the best possible quality like Sunnen but still needing excellent accuracy. I changed the dial indicator out for one that measures 1/10 of thousandths as engines like the Ford modular require higher precision than the half thousandths offered by the one that comes in this kit.

Most Dial bore Gauge kits don't read under 2" and that is exactly what I needed to do. This kit performed great and everything seems to be great quality with one exception. The plastic gauge protector does not come close to fitting properly. In fact it is pretty much impossible to use with the protector on. I dropped the review to 4 stars because of this.

Face of the gauge is poorly fitted, popped of after very little use and rendered the gauge completely useless. This is far too expensive for such a shoddy, poor quality tool. Do not waste your money on this, it's simply not worth it.

Works just like a dial bore gauge should cant complain. A vise to hold your micrometer makes gage setup a snap.
