Sent the first one back because it just wouldn’t work. Assembled too tight or something. The plunger was stuck. Sent it back for a replacement and it was the exact same way. Unfortunately between work and travel I missed the return window on the second one. Gone try to take it apart and get it working.

Pretty inexpensive so I wasn’t expecting much. Out of the box it doesn’t operate smoothly. If you break it down and polish the linkages it’ll work flawlessly.

Decent value for the money, not a high-end bore gauge but does work.

The bore gauge contact point sticks and will not move without being pushed back by the indicator. Completely unfit for purpose. Do yourself a favor and buy a higher end one. This one is completely unusable.

I had a particular job I needed to do and just did it. I utilize the tool along with the accessories to arrive at the proper bore size I was checking.

It did the job for me on a small Tecumseh engine. I had borrowed a gauge on a previous project and remembered the old saying, ( If you need to borrow more than once then you need your own. ) Good quality and price for a small time user.

This was simple to use and there are plenty of videos online to give you the basics. Be careful to keep track of the small spacers. Take your time accurately setting zero for the cylinder specifications of the cylinders you are measuring and then this tool can quickly be move around to different positions in the cylinders. You need an accurate outside micrometer to set the dial to zero. A simple inside micrometer can be use to measure cylinders but this is easier and faster. I used the bore gauge an inside micrometer an outside micrometer and a digital caliper against each other. For the cost this tool is accurate has a decent case and will do the job. I use it to make decisions prior to committing to have machine work performed on cylinder blocks not as a replacement for measurements and inspection taken at the machine shop.

Missing washers in kit will add stars if I recieve the missing parts. Updated my review I received the missing washers and tool works as expected for measuring small block chevy cylinders, bearing clearances etc.
