Instructions
1. Fix Tube
Fix the tube between the two rows of rollers.
2. Rotate the Knob to Grip the Tube
Rotate the knob at the bottom of your tube cutter clockwise until it has a firm grip on the tube.
3. Revolve and Tighten (Slightly)
Revolve the tube cutter around the pipe, tightening the grip only slightly after each full circle to avoid bending the tube.

This is an excellent tube cutter, especially for those larger size tubes that you can't cut with most small tube cutters. I have cut several brass and copper pipes up to 1-1/2" without any difficulty and I cut a couple of 2 inch PVC pipes as well. The cuts are smooth and clean. I have made about 30 cuts so far and the blade is still sharp, but it does come with a spare blade for when you need it. It is sturdy and well made.

I didn’t expect the size on this too to be so big, but I am impressed, exactly what I wanted and great price, works very well for all the size pipes I encounter!!!!

I bought this because it said it could cut stainless steel tubing and I have 1 5/8inc steel chain link fence toprails that I needed to cut. I was unsure that it could do the job. I was going to use my cutoff saw, which turned out to be dead, or my sawzall but that leaves a raspy uneven edge. Using this was a snap and it left a perfect clean edge. I got 30 toprails cut in about an hour.

Awesome for cutting 1-1/2” foam core abs: cut edges came out spot-on straight, square and very clean requiring just minimal de-burring on the inner edge. Much faster than using a saw, and much straighter results than with a ratcheting shear type pvc pipe cutter.One limitation is that it doesn’t work as well with solid core abs (and I would assume other solid plastics): while it cuts foam core ABS pipes very quickly and cleanly, when I tried it on a solid core ABS pipe of the same diameter, it cut very slowly (requiring about 30 times more rotations around the pipe). With solid ABS pipes, it tended to heat up the pipe at the cut causing the very edge at the cut to melt and swell up by about half a millimeter—just enough to require having to use a sharp blade to trim off the swelling to allow the pipe to fit into a fitting. Still a straight cut through solid plastic pipes, but requiring more work than with foam core ABS pipes.Overall, I’d still give this tool five stars: I purchased it to cut foam core abs DWV pipes, and it served that purpose perfectly at a very reasonable price.
