I’ve been out on lower red lake with this and not once has it tripped the flag or anything, I would see the braid moving as if the fish took the bait on the livescope but the fish would spit it out. I watched a lot of YouTube videos on how to set it up and nothing.

I think overall its well built. But for the price and overall construction rod holding arm is cheap and flimsy.

These things are pretty awesome. I live in northern mn used these alot last year and will again this winter if we ever get ice!!! Compared to a normal tipup ur chances of getting a good hook up are much better using a rod of ur choice. They r well worth the money. If your a ice fisher and dont like missing fish on hand over handing line u need to get these... i wish i was paid for my review on these but im not... i could use a few more of these though
