SUN MODE (Daylight Lighting Settings)
First Button - DAY-L timer
- Timer: 6H，10H，12H
- Brightness: Default (cannot be set)
- Color:Default (Orange light from dark to bright - Full spectrum white light - Orange light from bright to dark)
6H Daylight Lighting Graph
This mode light will simulate the sunrise - day light - sunset.
After choosing the time, the fish thank light will run as shown by the coordinates in the picture.
10H Daylight Lighting Graph
There are a total of 3 time options, that is to say, there are 3 kinds of lighting curves.
This Day-L mode can be set up and used alone, or it can be set up and run in conjunction with the Moon-L mode.
12H Daylight Lighting Graph
In the next day, this mode light will start running at the same local time when the DAY-L timer button was pressed on the first day. And in each subsequent day, the light will start running at the time set on the first day.
MOON MODE (Nightlight lighting settings)

- Press the second button for more than 3 seconds, the indicators of the 3H, 5H and 12H will be on at the same time, and then press third button to choose the color of the moonlight lighting. You can choose from 7 colors.
- Press fourth button to choose the brightness of the moonlight lighting.
- Pressthe second button to finish moonlight lighting set.
- Press the second button again to choose the moonlight lighting time, the indicator of 3H/5H12H starting flashing means the light is working.
Second Button - MOON-L timer
- The second button can select the time of moonlight mode(3H, 5H, 12H);
- It is also the confirmation key for the moonlight mode setting;
Third Button - On/Off/Color
- The third button turns the light on and off.
- Also can choose the color:
- There are 7 color options in moonlight mode (red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue and purple);
- There are 9 color choices in manual setting mode (red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, purple, gradient cycle and full spectrum);
- Day light color can not be selected to set
Fourth Button - Brightness
Press fourth button to adjust the brightness of the light.(10%-25%-35%-50%-75%-100%-75%-50%-35%-25%-10%).

I am using these on a couple of smaller tanks, these have a great full spectrum full light if you do not have to penetrate deep tanks. I ma using them on tanks that are no deeper than 13", and I use a couple inches of substrate. That being said, I am having excellent results with vibrantly colored plants, and fish colors are vibrant as well.

my plants are growing great with this light and CO2. my only complaint is that the timer resets every time the power goes out. for example, you have your timer set to come on at 2pm and it works great UNTIL the power goes out at your house. it may only be for 5 minutes or 5 hours, but the timer is reset when the power comes back on. basically, you lose your settings every time you unplug the light. it's a minor annoyance but still worth mentioning because the only way to restart the timer at 2pm is to be home at 2pm to hit the button! still a great light with great form factor and appearance. i will continue to use it until it breaks, if ever.

Excellent light for a planted aquarium, taking into account that I have tried other good quality lights I can say that for the price I would buy it again. In my case I received the lights without the clips, nothing that the seller very kindly could not solve, so I also recommend it, the communication with the seller was excellent.

First impression: really great light and nice features.But after connecting it, I noticed that the wire connection is kind of loose somewhere. Everytime I touch or simply graze the wire, the light come off and on and I have to reprogram the whole thing the next day. It’s not a big deal but quite frustrating.EDIT: I removed one more star as all the controls are dead now.I can’t even close the light with the controller I have to disconnect the wire.Unless it’s a problem with my unit, avoid this crap.

I have a 14 gallon rimless cube that I got this light for and it is great, however I did have a couple issues with the day and night setting on it, the day time lights will only come on if you also set up the night time lights, the tank is on my bedside table and I was afraid the night time lights would be too bright to sleep through so I only wanted the day time lights, it took me a couple days setting up because I couldn’t figure out why the day time lights weren’t coming on, but you have to set up the night time lights as well. Other than that putting it together and setting it up on the tank was extremely easy, one more thing I wish it came with some kind of rubber gasket so that the screws aren’t sitting on the glass. Other than that this light is pretty good for the price.

I rated this 3 stars due to several issues I've hard with my light, though I wish there was half stars so I would give 3.5. When I received the unit the buttons on the controls were extremely hard to press in order to change through modes or turn on. So hard in fact that my hands hurt trying to press it. The only way I was able to remedy this defect was to press it with something hard and sharp, which then left an indent in the controls and then made it easier for me to press it with no issue. I realize my light was probably the odd one out with this issue. The plastic screws that hold it up are extremely hard to twist into the holes of the base or out of. This also hurts my hands. I wish this light didn't cause so much physical pain towards me. It also doesnt have a timer like the large Hygger I have on my 40 gallon tank, in which you can press the button to phase through the cycles of the day. The timer is self-paced so you have to set it at whatever time you need it to accordingly because it only has 3, 6, and 9 hour timing options with no way to skip through different phases of a 24 hour cycle like my larger other model does. This is something that I really wish this model had. Nonetheless, it's a beautiful light, and Hygger's products are usually of very top quality. There are just a few quips I have with the way this model was made, but it still serves as a fine bright light for planted aquariums. Hopefully others don't face the same issues.
