- hygger aquarium extendable LED light is amazing. It’s easy to use and perfect to program. There is no need to set when selecting the Default Mode. It is suitable for junior players to use in their first fish tank. It completely simulates the light of nature, and your fish will like it. Default Mode
Default Mode - Day (sun)
- After local time setting, you can put it in you aquarium to use.
- DAY COLOR & BRIGHTNESS: Full spectrum white light in the day,the brightness of the light changes according to the default curve.
- DAY TIME: Can change the white light period start and end time (Default time 06:30~18:30).
Default Mode - Night (moon)
- NIGHT COLOR: can be changed, there are 6 kinds in total: dark blue, green, purple, cyan, yellow, red.
- NIGHT TIME: Can change the night period start and end time (18:00-23:30).
- NOTE: No matter when the set time starts, the brightness of the light will gradually become brighter.
DIY Mode (suitable for plants tanks)
DIY Mode Settings
- 8 Time Stages: L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, L6 ---- All-optical; L7, L8 ---- Blue light;
- 10 Brightness: 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100%;
- 8 Stages Setting Time: Any Time. In each time stage can only set a brightness, and the start and end time of this time stage are set by yourself.
Brightness Change
There are 10 kinds of brightness can be adjusted, to simulate the effect of sunrise to sunset, can be set in DIY MODE, which can realistically simulate natural light. Not only can it brighten the fish, it can also be applied to the growth of aquatic plants and promote photosynthesis.

Es un buen producto, tengo plantas de bajos requerimientos en un acuario de 0.80 x 0.40 x 0.50(alto) y me ha funcionado muy bien. No es tan intuitivo programarla, revisen videos para que les sea de mayor facilidad. Tengo varios meses con el producto y cumple con lo que ofrece.

La lampara no es a prueba de agua ni de humedad. Con el simple hecho de tenerla sobre la pecera el agua se metió al control, dejó de funcionar.

I own several Hygger programmable LED lights now, all various sizes for different size aquariums. They work perfectly, seem to be very waterproof/resistant, and last for several years as I've had my first one now since June of 2022. It's very easy to setup, program, and operate. I've alsoused the 48-55in model on a planted aquarium and had tremendous success, with floating plants specifically. I will always recommend this LED as the go to for aquarium lighting.

This is the 2nd one I've purchased as I believe this is an exceptional aquarium light. It was easy to set up, directions are clear and concise. I love the customizable dawn to dusk function, where it starts out dim and grows to a full noon sunlight, and then ramps down to sundown. You just have to set your local time. Very natural for the fish and plants and love how it brings out the beautiful colors of my fish. Light is priced extremely reasonably with all the features it has. Definitely suggest this light for anyone with any size or type of aquarium. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

This is good powerful aquarium light for plant growth. However, when there is a power interruption all setting go back to default/ factory settings and you need to reprogram the whole thing again. A simple battery backup within the system would have solved this issue but unfortunately…. This a drawback on the system.

Easy to program, fabulous colours, plants love it. Only concern is the plug and top feels very warm compared to previous model. Not cheap..

Overall this is a really good light, especially for the price. The build quality feels solid, and the brackets to mount on to the aquarium are sturdy.Initial setup was fairly straight forward. I set up the time and allowed the automated cycle to do its thing. In the auto mode, the brightness in the afternoon goes to 100% which for this light is really really bright. This also makes the light get super hot, which kind of concerned me. If you’re trying to set up a high light tank, this would probably work. My plants are less demanding however, and I was afraid this would lead to a massive algae bloom, so I wanted to dim the lights down a little using the custom function.This is where it got tricky!Following the instructions to the letter will lead to frustration because it will not work! I tried time and time again, and each time after entering my parameters it would go back to 100% brightness and not turn off at night. I was ready to buy a different light when I read the description here on the Amazon page with the solution. After setting up your custom light parameters, you must reset the clock for some reason. After that it’ll work flawlessly. This isn’t intuitive, and it’s not in the manual. Hopefully this review will help anyone else struggling with this.Lastly I’ll say that while the lights are bright and the color spectrum is really good, they do aim straight down. My tank is 16” wide (standard 5.5 gallon) so I opted for the smallest size. The light fixture is 10.5” wide, and really only illuminates straight below it. Some nicer lights like the ones on my 55 gallon will have a wider field of light to help illuminate the front and sides of the tank better. For the price though this is to be expected.Overall I’m very pleased now that I got it to work.
