I needed to raise my aquarium light off of the tank a little more then the provided stands. These accomplished that perfectly. It was a perfect addition to my 60 gallon platy tank. The light doesn't sit right on the tank now which is what I was looking for.

Someone else said it doesn't fit, but it definitely fits the Hygger 957 light I bought on Amazon in aug 2024 under the title "hygger Auto On OFF 18-24 Inch LED Aquarium Light Extendable Dimable 7 Colors Full Spectrum Light Fixture for Freshwater Planted Tank Build in Timer Sunrise Sunset" from what appears to be the real Hygger Amazon store.It is the same gauge as the shorter ones that came with the light, so it fits snuggly in the holes, like it's not hard to adjust but it doesn't slide so easily that it'll just slip out when you bump it, which is good since I don't want my light to fall in my tank.

My aquarium has no lid and my light was always foggy do to evaporation. With these brackets I solved the problem. Also by having the light elevated the aquarium looks brighter

I like the appearance of a higher light on my tank, plus hard water build up doesn’t accumulate on the light. I did have to increase the % light to get good coverage with it up higher. From 50% to 80-100%

Im finally doing a review on this and really like it. It's barely noticeable and fits well on the hygger lights. I planning on getting two more since I have two more hygger lights that need to set higher.

I bought these extender bars to lift my son’s hygger light on his axolotl tank that is rimmed and has a glass lid. Works great. No issues with fitting. Does what it is intended to do.

Like the title suggests product is advertised to fit the Hygger model #hg957 but when I received the brackets they came as described, but when I go to insert the brackets into said light they get hard stuck within the light and I have to forcefully pull them out. On inspection of the ends of the brackets you can clearly see the black paint or coating is scrapped off due to the gauge being thicker than what the original brackets were made from. Very disappointing and improper advertising.
