Our camper 7-pin connector recently gave us issues right before a trip up to the mountains. We got the plus swapped out, but knew I needed a way to keep it clean while in our dirt storage lot. This was easy to install and will definitely keep the plug protected from the elements. Definitely recommend!

This didn't come with installation instructions and I had to Google it which brought me here to other reviewers who left the how-to. I took off one star for lack of directions. Otherwise, it seems to be a well made product and will protect my 7-pin plug.

I read and followed installation instructions as posted by sharkravingmad and it worked like a charm.Took less than 3 minutes and it's snug and in place exactly where I need it.Seems well made and well worth the price I paid (under $15 CDN).

Avoid. Flimsy cheap injection moulding. NOT universal...doesn't fit any trailer plug I've seen. Even if it did it's way overpriced. And if you do order one and then try to return it, good luck with that. You have to go to the carrier's depot and ship it with the relevant export documentation. Major hassle. Avoid.

The product is a good idea -- but, one of the straps (zip tie) broke while bending around the hitch jack. I called Husky Towing to see if they could just send me a new strap and a woman in warranty and support said they did not have a part number on the strap. So, I would have to take a picture and send it along with the receipt and a description and they would send me a whole new unit. It would be faster and easier to return it to Amazon. I am going to just keep it and try just a regular zip tie. Not much product support or help from Husky Towing.

I’m a tough reviewer and I’m giving this 5 stars. For install it’s easiest to completely remove the little screw blocks from each side (keeping in mind which way to reinsert them). Then pull the zap strap through with the ribbed side to the outside. Make sure you have it where you want it, because there is no 2nd try on this. Snug the zap strap up with pliers. Then reinsert the screw block (with teeth pointed to inside) and screw it in gently to snug up. Don’t overtighten - this is plastic so you could strip it. Worked like a charm for me. Installed in about 3 minutes and is nice and snug and I like that it leaves room for the trailer plug to dry out. I also put some dielectric grease on the trailer plug as an extra precaution to keep the connectors from corroding. Nice design, great add to our trailer.

These actually work pretty well. Purchased four of them for four trailers and all went on without hassle. They're strong enough to support the electrical plugs, with cords dangling beneath.INSTALLATION IS EASY. Insert the plastic straps with the grooved teeth facing outwards and wrap the straps around the pole and into the slot behind the rectangular plastic piece with the screw. Push the rectangular plastic piece in from the screw side while inserting the straps. Now simply tighten the screw while holding the straps wrapped around the pole. Teeth within the rectangular plastic piece will grab the teeth in the straps, pulling the straps tight. Don't overtighten. The screw only has to be in far enough to tighten the strap firmly around the pole. This Husky storage kit provides a cover for your connector and faces the cord downwards, both keeping rain water out. There's room for the connector to "breath," allowing any trapped moisture to quickly evaporate. An occasional squirt of WD-40 or DeoxIT D5 (contact cleaner/lube) should keep everything working smoothly. All of this is a vast improvement over the rubber plug covers which trap both rain water and moisture inside, promptly causing either rust or corrosion of the wires or contacts.

I originally was looking for just one of those RV rubber covers to keep the plug dry and this popped up as another product in the search.Although just a bit more expensive than the eight dollar plug cover I'd been thinking about, this plug 'garage' looked to be a better way to go. And it is!The base can either be attached to the tube of the tongue jack, as in the product photo or mounted on a flat surface of the trailer if you want to drill and mount it that way.It comes with the base with the cover molded attached, 2 straps and a two set screws. I thought there were no directions but after mounting the holder, it isn't rocket science to figure out how it mounts, I found the directions were actually inside on the inner part of the package product label as it was just in a clear bag with folded cardboard bag seal. The straps are not zip ties, these are tension adjustable straps that after getting about right, one side anchors and the other pulls through and you tighten the setscrews to 'lock in' the other end of the straps and make it's all tight on the tube. I did have some of the strap to clip off with wire snips after I was done. The RV cable sits with the base on the two arms and the plug end up underneath the cap or 'garage' as that's what it looks like to me. Safely out of the rain and snow pretty and well protected from the elements until needed as in the product photo, and the garage cover does extend down over the top of the plug to keep the water out. Now, how long will this last? I don't know. I think the straps may at some point in a few years be the first thing to give way. I think if you live in the sunbelt with your trailer or RV parked out in the sun all the time it might not last as long as mine because I live in the north and use a cover in the winter on our RV so the sun isn't beating down on it all year long.
