The setup takes a bit of know-how, and I don’t like how flimsy the box is to open to insert/replace the SIM card. Other than that, it’s great!

I ordered one of these for myself and used the free sim card that came with the product. All is going very well and I have had no issues whatsover. I am traveling abroad soon and will try it with a different sim for that area. I also ordered one for my friend. So this one is for my friend who is traveling abroad soon as well. Will leave more feedback after using an international sim card. so watch this space...

This is my second HUAWEI hotspot. The battery quality you get seems to be pot luck because the older model E5576 (white one) has a longer battery life and more reliable connection. Be advised you will need to carry a portable power charger if you're using for more than 1.5 hours. Also getting connected to this hotspot takes longer than the E5576. Instead of improving on a product it seems Huawei decided to cut costs in the manufacturing process instead. Look elsewhere.

This product is great when visiting Africa and Middle East. It was easy to connect to the local provider of Internet services. Battery life once charged is reasonable!

I was about to send this back because the lights don’t stay on but for a minute. Then someone told me the lights are NOT supposed to stay on…. But you are still connected! I thought the stupid thing was broken, was about to buy a new battery! No instructions that say that! Works well after all the work getting it going!

Had this thing connected to an external battery pack and it ran 24/7 in Greece with a Cosmote Sim.A lot of the settings are customizable in the webpage. So if you’re tech savvy enough to configure a router then you should be good. One tip is, go into the network selection and click manual and then manually select the network your SIM card is on. Otherwise it can accidentally roam or hop to other networks by accident.

Nunca he tenido ningún problema.

Use YouTube to get this thing going, then it works very good. Have 6 users connected without problems. When using abroad I had to create a new profile, that took a while to realise that was the solution to no solve the connection problem. Recommended but take time for the setup

Bought this to use on a trip to Ireland. We had some trouble initially getting the sim card activated...its not a fault of this device... just something to consider. I bought a standard Tesco phone sim card, but couldn't activate it without help from customer service because it wasn't being used in a cell phone. I had downloaded the Huawei smart home app ahead of time on my cell. You can receive SMS via this device on the app. Using my phone and the free wifi at a hotel, I was able to chat with Tesco support online and they sent a confirmation code via SMS to the device. Customer support was then able to activate/top up the sim card for me.After that, the device worked great. There were four of us and we could all be on wifi at the same time. Battery life was good.Just make sure if you are using it on a trip that you download and learn how to use the smart home app before you go.
