Seems to be 12 gauge but can not be verified as I don't plan on cutting the cord. It has held up well to heavy machinery use and no signs of getting hot or wearing out. It's heavy duty and was a great price compared to others.

When it came it was in a fairly small box and I thought I got a 50 foot cord, but after measuring it I found it was 100 feet. I was surprised because I wanted to get a simple cord roll to keep it on but the roll reviews said the 12ga cord was too big. It will easily fit on the standard cord roll holder. It is a good supple cord with a light on the end of it to show if it has power.

Seems to be well-built with quality materiel. Lower priced than an equivalent cord at Harbor Freight, but maybe their cord is actually 50 ft? Docked one star for that. The light in the socket is nice as is the hook as well. Not sure about durability but time will tell...

I purchased this heavy duty extension cord to power tools and other high current draw appliances. This is far superior to 16 gauge, or even 14 gauge. 16 gauge would get hot. 14 gauge would get warm. !2 gauge does not get perceptibly warm. Plugs and sockets remain cool. Highly recommended.
