You guys know the drill. You buy a bung of CNC bits that are worthless and then you find the ones that work. These are the ones. I’ve been CNCing hard wood all week and I’m still on the first bit and it’s still cutting like butter.

I use these for plastic model window drilling. They are fragile, but that can't be avoided for their size. Your hand is going to force them at a bad angle eventually, not the bits fault. These things mill great for their size, just takes a little time due to their tiny size. Quality made bits, does exactly what they're designed to do. Would purchase again!

These bits work really well, but you have to be careful not to let them get stuck or be bent in anyway just like standard bits. But with any bit that small, you have to be careful.

Works great for standard fret wire. They do break easy so keep plenty on hand.

I bought this end-mill pack, two actually, because I wanted to make my grandmother a late mothers day present on my new cnc machine. I was in need of a micro long reach endmill to finish the finer details on the piece and any major manufacturer would have taken too long too get me one so I bit the bullet and tried these. I saw others saying they could only get 30s out of these so I didn't know what to expect. I have some experience with micromilling so I knew that getting these to work would be a little tricky, but in the end it wasnt hard at all when you follow basic milling fundamentals. You will need a RIGID machine capable of VERY HIGH RPM ( I ran @10k) and coolant to get these working right. I only broke one dialing in the feeds and speeds. DO NOT GO below .0005 per tooth, (IT IS A 2 FLUTE ENDMILL) because this WILL CAUSE RUBBING and RUBBING on micros = BREAK. I took 10k rpm @ 10in per minute at a .01 MAX DEPTH OF CUT and .005 OPTIMAL CUT WIDTH with a high speed machining Fusion 360 toolpath. A half hour of cutting on one end mill with no breakage in AL! For less than $2 a tool!!!

These are incredibly delicate mills, but I've had excellent luck with them over a period of several months. I did break one by dropping it a fairly short distance (around 8") onto a hard surface, but we're talking about 0.5mm carbide, so I consider that reasonable. I've been using them on various hardwoods (the hardest being gaboon ebony) to do fine detail work, and have had no breakage during use. I have been running with very conservative settings: full speed on my spindle, 200mm/min feed rate, and 0.25mm depth per pass (with very small diameter mills, I usually go with d/2 for the depth). Some woods end up with a pretty decent amount of fuzz to clean up on the top edge of some pockets, but overall the finish is pretty good (especially for the price of these mills).Do be careful when handling them. Not only will they break if dropped, but they are fine and sharp enough to puncture skin quite easily, and the burrs make them incredibly unpleasant to remove (like a tiny arrow with dozens of barbs). I really wish I didn't know that.
