This stuff seems to work great for my wood projects. It gives a nice shine to them. Bottle came without spillage. I like that it is food safe, which I prefer even though the things I make may not come in contact with food. Always nice to be reassured that if something I make does end up in someone mouth, it's okay. So far, it seems to wok great in protecting my projects and I would recommend it.

Product works well. I put it on, let it dry per instructions then give it a light buffing with a dry cloth. It leaves the butcher block with a beautiful finish. Keeps the moisture in the wood.

I’ve been using Howard Products Butcher Block Conditioner (BBC0) for all our cutting boards, and I’m obsessed! This stuff is pure magic in a 12 oz bottle—it’s transformed my kitchen routine and kept every board, from bamboo to thick maple butcher blocks, looking and feeling brand new. If you’re serious about maintaining your cutting boards, this conditioner is an absolute must-have!Applying it is so easy—just a quick wipe with a cloth after cleaning the boards, and it sinks right in. I love how it combines food-grade mineral oil with beeswax and carnauba wax—it hydrates the wood to prevent drying and cracking, while leaving a smooth, protective finish. Our boards don’t just look good; they feel amazing to cut on, with no sticky residue. It’s been a game-changer for my heavily used kitchen favorites, especially the big butcher block that gets daily action. Plus, the subtle natural scent is a nice touch—no overpowering chemical vibes here!I’ve noticed it really extends the life of our boards, keeping them from warping or splitting even with constant washing. The 12 oz size lasts a surprisingly long time, too—I use it on all our cutting boards, and I’m still nowhere near running out after months. It’s food-safe, simple to use, and makes maintenance feel effortless. I can’t imagine going back to plain oil or nothing at all!Pros: • Keeps cutting boards hydrated and crack-free • Easy to apply—just wipe on and let it soak in • Leaves a smooth, non-sticky finish that’s perfect for food prep • Long-lasting 12 oz bottle—great value for the price • Food-grade and natural ingredients give peace of mindCons: • Needs to sit for a few hours (or overnight) for best absorption, so plan ahead • Can feel a little greasy if you over-apply (less is more!)Howard Butcher Block Conditioner has earned its five stars in my kitchen. It’s become my go-to for keeping all our cutting boards in top shape, and I’d recommend it to anyone who loves their wood surfaces as much as I do!

Added three coats of this conditioner to my new end-grain cutting board, waiting 6 to 8 hours between coats to absorb and buff. Nice consistency, easy to apply, waxes helped to seal in mineral oil with no bleeding afterwards. Really brought out the grain in the walnut and cherry. Howard makes good products, highly recommended.

After reviewing cutting board oils they all appeared the same however this one suggested using an mineral oil product before finalizing with this conditioner. This was was the deciding factor for a complete systems to prep and maintain my cutting board. Your hands just get oily so do everything at once. It rinses off really well also.

Ich liebe dieses Produkt und behandle damit alle Holzoberflächen in der Küche und auch meinen Esstisch. Es zieht wunderbar ein, hat keinen merkwürdigen Geruch - es tut genau das, was man will.

This is our go to butcher block conditioner. It’s pricey but so worth it. It brings our counters back to life and is so easy to apply. Works really well at keeping our counters looking great!

This is one of those rare products that give DIY folks a true sense of delight. Seeing the immediate impact of this conditioner on hardwood is the best part of making cutting boards and charcuterie boards.Howard's conditioner far surpasses the look achieved with mineral oil. Hardwood grains pop with a single treatment. Applying the product is simple. 12 ounces will easily cover ten (12" X 18") cutting boards. Amazon's price is competitive with big box stores. The container is sturdy and the conditioner flows smoothly.

I've been buying this product for a while now. I like how easy it is to use and how quick it is to apply. I use it not only on my butchers block but also on my wooden vanity unit in the bathroom, as well as my over the sink chopping board. It may be more expensive than other brands, but a bottle lasts a long time, so it is value for money as a little goes a long way. You do have to reapply every so often, and I usually apply it at least twice a year to keep the wood conditioned.

I bought an IKEA Butcher Block and turned it into my computer desk as I've always loved the look of real wood. At first I bought a Minwax polyurethane at my local Home Depot, I ended up testing it on a small block of wood I had laying around, and I'm sure glad I did cause I hated the strong smell, and once it dried, it really changed the wood's colour too much and made it look kinda fake. That's when I started looking for finishing alternatives for my butcher block desk and stumbled on several reviews that lead me to Howard Butcher Block Conditioner on amazon. I read into this conditioner and found out it was also safe for food which is another big plus cause I sometimes eat at my computer desk (with a plate of course). So I ended up purchasing this product here on amazon and I was very happy with the application instructions because it was much easier than the polyurethane application, and the best part is, the smell wasn't unbearable! I was able to actually sleep in my bedroom while I let my desk absorb the conditioner overnight (You don't actually have to leave the conditioner on for that long, I just did it cause I wanted my desk to absorb as much of this stuff as possible). After I finished applying this stuff on my desk, I fell in love with my desk, the conditioner made the surface feel nice to the touch while maintaining it's genuine wooden look, none of that fake glossy crap. It also gave my desk character that I never thought was there, it made the dark parts of the wood more richer and stand out more without changing the entire appearance of the desk. It basically turned a regular boring, rough feeling butcher block into a more refined, modern and sophisticated looking desk, all thanks to this Awesome Product!!I still have so much of this stuff left that I might end up applying it on every piece of wooden furniture I can find at home. It's that great! :D
