Every single one that I bought leaked and the contents were ruined.They are fine buckets for carrying things around the yard, or for temporary storage of things that can be exposed to the elements. But for anything that you'd need an "air tight lid" they are not useful.

Went to return it but returning it would have cost almost as much as the most over priced bucket ever made. The gasket rolls up and doe's not seal tight. I read the add as 3 buckets and lids for 38. and change I only got one! And the gasket is like a big o ring this is not a Gamma typ Lid.

Will definitely buy more if needed. The only issue was putting the tops on When I say you need the force and strength of a Warrior. I was happy to actually get them on after watching a video. It does come with instructions

Hubby struggled putting the RING on the first bucket ( yep saying bad words & all ! LOL) ..then I remembered a post saying" drop the rings in HOT water for a few minutes before trying to hammer them on". ..OOHHHH YESSS , they worked beautifully, slid into place with the the help of a rubber mallet & a board , (as instructed on assembly directions). Now waiting to be filled w/my excess bags of sugar & flour & wheat berries & rice.
