I have struggled to find a leakproof lid for 5 gallon buckets. In the winter, I have to carry buckets of water for my birds. This lid fits a Tractor Supply bucket and I did not lose a drop of water. It goes on and coms off easily. No tools needed.

Pretty good lid. NOT as tight as I like it to be but it does the job. For those with arthritis or other issues with hands who have a hard time opening up something hard to open these lids would work great because they require minimal effort to take them off. On the other hand, if you happen to drop the bucket or accidentally walk into it the lid will pop off so be careful don't drop the bucket use a flashlight in the dark so you don't kick any buckets 😂

These Leaktite 5 gallon bucket lids are amazing. I cannot secure or remove those awful lids that come with all 5 gallon buckets. I'm a middle age woman with small, skinny hands that sometimes hurt. Just telling you that for reference, so you know that most anyone can use these lids easily. I've been using these for years now. They don't leak. I can lay a full bucket on it's side with no leaking. I can leave it untouched for a year and the water inside doesn't even evaporate. I have over 20 buckets with these lids. They are malleable and pliable and not stiff. Almost all my buckets are the orange Home Depot buckets, but I also have a few that are drywall and paint buckets and even other product buckets as well. All 5 gallon. They fit each one very well. I always keep a few extras of these lids so I'm not without one when I need it.
