They hold tightly and do not leak.Make new small garden hoses from old ones. I placed the end in some hot water to make it more flexible and slid in the fitting with ease. The smaller hose pieces are perfect for the interim with a soaker hoses.

The hose clamps wouldn’t get tight enough to stop the leak and eventually stripped out so I had to use heavier duty hose clamps. Once I swapped the hose clamps, it worked great.

Bought these after 2nd time my laziness ruined a garden hose. After 1st repair I still had a leak, found out there was a binding bead on inside seam of heavy duty hose, trimmed it for @ 1/2 inch so it is smooth inside and repair was fantastic. Only negative was metal clamps would catch on things when pulling through yard, solved problem with electrical tape wrapped over them.

These all-metal garden hose repair kit allows for a fairly easy repair of damaged garden hoses. Just cut off the damaged section, insert these all-metal connectors and tighten at both ends with the included stainless clamps. May require re-tightening depending on your hose thickness, but should provide years of service to damaged hoses much more durable than plastic repair alternatives that may crack or become brittle due to sun damage over time. Would order again if needed.

Cheap enough to keep on hand for when you spring a leak in a garden hose. I have used them on 5/8" hose and they work great. I can't speak for their use in 3/4" hoses but I don't see why they wouldn't work.If your hose is old or cheap it might help to heat the area to be repaired with a heat gun when inserting the barb.

Very good value for the money and they work very effectively. The local big box home improvement store charges the same price for 1 and I got 4. Very pleased. I used a little dish soap to lube the hose and made the installation much easier.
