I had no real dislikes with this product. My truck wasn't wired for towing. So that's why I bought this, along with 2 other products so my truck will be all set to light up the camper for hauling. I've had previous experience in wiring a vehicle, so Installation was fairly easy.

It worked for my 2020 Tacoma I got this and the wire harness! if you are struggling with your trailer lights because you didn't get the towing package get this the wire harness and the plug in for the trailer cable you will have to do some wire splicing but its worth it!

I used this to repair my factory trailer wiring on my 2009 F350. Someone had previously cut the harness. Fortunately this pigtail was long enough to splice back in and reach the plug mounted on the bumper. Wire colors matched up to my factory wire colors on the truck making the install very easy. I added waterproof heat shrink tubing for added piece of mind.

I opted to hard wire this OEM plug & play harness into my older truck's towing harness, which will make it very easy to swap out the receptacle if it ever fails. It also makes for a virtually weather-proof gasketed connection on the back of the socket; and all of my harness wiring is permanently soldered and heat-shrink wrapped. I drilled a 2" hole and surface mounted into bumper using stainless screws for a finished look. Plus the receptacle and wiring are a lot more protected up there behind the frame from water, dirt, and rocks than hanging down by the hitch on a flimsy rusty bracket.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000B6NQHW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I did not use the included crimp connectors. I soldered every connection and used a weatherproof heat-shrink tubing that has a glue inside to seal up the wires.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073R69KNB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I staggered the connections to even out the thickness of the bundle and mated the new loom on this harness inside the factory loom on the towing harness. So visually, it's one loom all the way up to this OEM plug, and inside every wire soldered and inside a sealed weatherproof heat-shrink tube. This arrangement should be very bullet-proof and withstand any water or moisture.

It's a good harness, and nice solution when you have a used vehicle where someone just cut the old wires. The tricky part is figuring out which wires match up. They tell you the function of the colors on their pigtail, but it takes some time to figure out the corresponding wires on the truck. Mine was a 2006 Sierra 3500 commercial version with a trailer brake. About half the truck wires' colors matched the pigtail color coding, but the rest required a multimeter to be certain of their function. Granted, the colors of the truck wires is not Hopkins issue, but it would be nice if they had some good cross-reference charts on their website to simplify installation.
