Easy install. The ground wire took about 10 minutes to figure out where to go and install but not a big deal with a drill/driver.

Fit the car perfectly, simple to install, saved over $100 by doing it myself v.s. having the hitch installer do it. really only takes 15-20 minutes and most of that time is removing and installing the car interior pieces that have to come out to access the in-car harness. Be sure to use a harness tester to confirm that everything is working properly, I had to disconnect and reconnect the harness connector once to ensure a solid connection, also be sure your ground is really electrically connected to the frame, some metal pieces of cars today are not electrically bonded to the frame. Everything is working as expected.

works just like it should. the install is relatively easy and instructions are pretty good. the only difficulty was that Subaru has the connector hiding - tucked up high inside the inside fender cover. difficult to reach - not dangling with slack in the wire as the instructions indicate. but once you get the plug located it's pretty easy

Installed in my 2014 Outback this afternoon. Needed to do a few minor modifications. Cut off and crimped on the supplied larger ground terminal so it would fit on an existing screw. Add split tubing over the wire for extra protection. The opening in the back for the wire to go through was slightly too small for the 4 pin connector to go through, so I enlarged it slightly and then filled it with sealant. Other than that, it installed easily and worked perfectly.

On my 2024 Crosstrek convenience very easy to install following the online video. Just a plug an play. Have to drill one hole for a ground. Also, may be helpful if you have trim tool, to pop the foam off and the trim that sits on the lip of the trunk (my clips did not break). Stores really nicely tucked in the trim and the cord coiled up with the spare.

Great product! simply find the video on youtube for the car and it's plug and play. Ready to go in 10min top. Just need to have a piece of sand paper and a drill. Everything else necessary for the install is in there.

I just got finished installing this but I assume it will hold up. I installed it in a 2016 Subaru Outback 3.6R Limited. I bought an ECO Hitch from Tork Lift Central and they sold this adapter as well. It was almost twice as expensive on their website so I bought mine here. If you are still looking for a hitch I highly recommend theirs. Much better looking than the other aftermarket options and I got a 2 inch receiver unlike the $800 plus one from the dealer. Installation isn't too bad until it is time to find the plug and make the connection. Most of the online installation videos gloss over this part. I read another review somewhere that mentioned removing the cargo tie down point behind the drivers side rear seat. The plug is basically right next to the opening. i used a flat blade screwdriver to break the tape and pull the plug out the hole. The other review also mentioned fishing the adapted wiring up from under the bottom of the trim panel and pulling it out if the hole too. Then you simply plug them in and pull the wiring back behind the trim panel. Right by where you pull the wiring out you will see a couple studs with nuts on them. I cut off the small ring terminal and attached the larger one provided in the kit. It fit perfectly over the stud so I removed the nut and attached it there. From here it is your preference what to do with the wiring. I tucked it up behind the trim panel and routed the wire under the foam panels under the floor to where the spare tire is. Another review mentioned making a short extension plug to run out from the spare tire compartment through a grommet that is located there. This way you won't risk damaging the end of the wiring kit. This will probably only be easy if you are removing the bumper to install the hitch.Hopefully this helps someone else like other reviews helped me. I recommend this kit and it seems well made. Plus they included the ring terminal I needed so I didn't even have to run to the store to buy anything else.
