I just replaced the set on a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 and it was a perfect fit, length, etc.I really only needed the handle, but I figured after 25 years, the cable might be about ready to go too, and that would be a lot more difficult to deal with if the cable broke.I had that happen before on another truck and had to break the grill out to get to the latch, so it cost me an extra $200 bucks and a lot of hassle.I priced the Dorman 912-017 at AutoZone a few weeks back and it was almost seventy bucks and over fifty here on Amazon, so this is a great deal.Can't speak yet to how it will hold up over time, but so far it works fine and functions like it should. The handle even feels a little better than the stock one that broke after 24-1/2 years, so we'll see... but not expecting to get that much time out of it anyway.Shipped and received fast.5- Stars!

I’ve had a broken handle for the last five years, a pair of vise grips was the only way to pull on the cable. Needless to say it was a pain in the butt. This is the exact replacement. It’s a little tricky getting it in, it’s a tight squeeze getting by the emergency brake. I used a screwdriver to pry it out a little. I also taped the new one to the old one to use as a drag. Overall it took about a half hour. Just like new , worth it.
