Looks great. Ease to put on could have been better. In other words you have to either break your original latch or break it some more to put this on.

It's good product, the only work is taken off the old cover plastic which is hard plastic but leave a little bit on the cable so it don't go back into the firewall. Highly recommend, it's a solid piece replacement.

My hood latch pull had been broken for a couple years and was always a hassle to open the hood. I lucked out and found these replacement options one day and decided to order one. It was and easy install after cleaning some of the old plastic off the broken part. It was a relief to be able to open the hood without a lot of effort because of this Hood Release Latch Handle Repair Kit. It still works great and makes me wish I had found it years ago.

Was small so I drilled a larger hole and used gorilla glue. Works great and stays on. Looks sharp on the car and works a lot better than using pliers to open the hood of your car.

Used on a 2006 Honda Element to replace the hood pull.Used side cutters to cut the rest of the broken plastic off.Hold the catch in place, then use a pen or something small and sharp to mark where the holes are on the rod. Remove the catch, and use a small round file to make two grooves at the marks, so that the set screws (and handle) won't just slide off the rod.
