INSTALLATION:
1. Remove the mounting bracket so that it can be used as a template for the screw holes. To do so, slide the light out of the mounting bracket in the direction of the arrow.
2. Mark and drill two holes in the location where you want to mount the light. Insert anchors in the holes.
3 Place screws(included) through the mounting bracket and anchors.Tighten the screws to secure the mounting bracket.Do not over-tighten.
4.Slide the light back on to the mounting bracket.
5.To remove the light from the mounting bracket,simply slide the light down.

I have used this for several months and it works well so far it is easily mounted . It helps to notify you with lighting when something is detected. Is is great for a safety guide. When I pull into my driveway it lights up the area and guides m up our back stairs. The light remains on for approximately 30 seconds each time it is activated. When he light gets a little dimmer, you simply need to replace the batteries.

This is a very easy light to set up. Take it out of the box, unscrew the top gently and easily and insert 3 AA batteries. The light immediately starts working, no settings or on/off switch. There is a manual and also it's pretty self-explanatory. Why the stickers on the lights then restating the directions?!?!?!! Could get the sticker off, so annoying. Also you cannot point this light downward And there is no reason why it should not be able to. You can get a two pack where each is much cheaper than this 1. Other than that it's a nice, easy, bright light.

The unit works ok. The instructions are very poor, need to slide off small base plate and mount it to your surface using plastic anchor plugs which makes attaching to a thinner wood surface less practical.

Bought this as part of my storm prep. Had similar products during the last storm and the motion sensor makes this a great tool to set up around the house so you don’t stumble around in the dark. These will give more lights to add to more places around the house.Place them in bedrooms, hallway, anywhere you need light. Whenever you move the lights automatically come on. They also automatically go off after a minute or more with no movement. We turn it on every evening just before dark, keep it on motion sensor and it stays on until the next morning. Battery usually lasts about 5+ days with this routine. Also like that it uses AA batteries, easy to keep extras on hand, not very bulky. Very happy with my purchase!

I bought the item because it stated that it was easy to install but it is not!Product is difficult to install and instructions are not easily understood. Tiny screws require tiny screw driver. That should be included with the product.Screws stripped easily and don't seem to hold the product in place. I still don't have this light up after trying to install for 45 minutes. Getting the back plate off was difficult. Accidentally dropped it, and then it popped off! Rediculous. Lost several of the tiny scres while trying to put them back in the light.I have the batteies installed and the light does work, and is bright at this point. The motion sensors work and it does shutoff.You will need a drill, tiny screw driver, AA batteries and a ton of patience.Considering returning product instead of attempting to install again.

We needed a light for when we get in at night. This is a very bright light and it goes off by itself. It also lets us know when the dog wants in. The only thing I found that could be changed was the instructions on mounting it. It was difficult for me to understand.

Purchased some rechargeable motion lights from big box store for my basement stairs which I have to recharge at least once a week. This Honeywell light lights the stairs better and motion detection works much better than the rechargeable lights I purchased and is half the price. Sometimes you have to move halfway down the stairs for the rechargeable lights to come on where the Honeywell lights as soon as I open the basement door.

UPDATE: I thought this product had died on me, but I dropped it a couple times by mistake while changing batteries which somehow revived it. I changed my 3-star rating to a 5-start rating.I purchased this light three years ago and it worked fine--it was sensitive to motion and very bright; however, it now won't work at all, but I am thinking about purchasing another one anyway since I was pleased with it before.

I mounted this on back porch near stairs and keeps working, powerful LED's; a great safety solution. Great value and solid construction. Hardware stores and electronic stores didn't have anything of similar to offer.
