Bought this to replace the aquastat on my boiler. It burnt up my electric damper then shorted it's self out. Don't waste your money on it. Will cost you more in the long run.

A 1990 utica mgb-1002h boiler wouldn't shut down at the high temp limit with the old aquastat. Basement was partially flooded due to the boiler's over pressure valve releasing hot water into the basement for unknown amount of time. Thank goodness that safety device worked, despite the wet mess.It was difficult to locate the old Aquastat's part number. The old p/n was marked L8148E1216 in blue ink on the inner underside of the steel housing near the transformer. Honeywell/Resideo cross referenced this new 1265 with the old 1216 p/n.Resideo is the new brand name for Honeywell's residential products.Replacement steps were fairly straightforward. I verified that the high limit worked properly at my desired setting of 180 deg F for 3 full cylces.Once the aquastat was replaced, the boiler worked like it is supposed to.

This was so easy to install that I was almost scared to turn it on.I have been fighting with my furnace for maybe three years because I needed this. I thought this would have to be the repair where I called the plumber and sold blood to pay him - or her.I received an estimate of a total of about $500 for the part and installation. Amazon had the best price and terms. It arrived the next day as promised. The install was quick and clean. Now how do I invoice my Bride - and get her to pay me?

While I feel that this is a very good product, the Honeywell website was misleading, so I ordered this product and it turned out to be the incorrect product for my boiler. Certainly not Amazon's fault!!! They promised as delivered and had the best price, just frustrating that I spent the money for a product that I can't use.

This was an easy replacement for my old aqua stat. I replaced a 1299 with this 1265 and my furnace works just as it is supposed to. The one and only problem is that I had to replace the new sensor bulb with my old one to get it to fit in the well. Wasn't to complicated. The first thing you should do is check the bulb size as soon as you remove old unit, this will save time. Do it first and not last. Way to go amazon for saving me hundreds on furnace repair.
