I have a door that was installed just before I bought the house that had a pretty noticeable gap in the corner, which made it to where I'd have to lift the door every time to get the latch to catch. Popped this bad boy on the hinge and made some adjustments and wouldn't you know, it opens and closes perfectly! I imagine this is something useful for a handyperson to have. Now that my doors are all adjusted and working I'm a happy camper!

Doors in old houses tend to get out of alignment. In comes this to the rescue. I've adjusted hinges that don't sit well in the doorway using an adjustable wrench like they show in YouTube videos before. This is so much easier once you understand how to use it.The instructions could be better, but it isn't too hard to figure out.Very robust, means you can use it with confidence, not feeling like it will break in your hands and hurt you.Good product that comes with a storage bag to keep the parts together with it.

Tried to sure up a door using this tool to adjust the gap. I should start by adding that I've hung dozens of doors even by building my own jambs and mortising the jamb for the hinges. I know how a door should be hung and aware of how to make it plum, level and give it just the right reveal. This was the first time I've tried using a tool like this to adjust the "gap" (reveal). The first thing I noticed was the sound of cracking wood after which I tried being more delicate and strategic where I placed the tool (higher up on the hinge vs Lower down vs right in the middle). No matter how I used it, it was adjusting the gap by merely bending the hinge pin area either closer to the door or closer to the jamb depending on which way I applied pressure. Either way, the gap didn't adjust and it nearly pulled the hinge out of the door and jamb. Save yourself money and frustration and just buy new hinges if the old ones are warped.

We wanted this tool to help straighten the gap on our heavy front door. Unfortunately, these hinges had little clearance and this tool didn’t provide the right torque, causing it to gouge and scrape up the wooden door jam near the hinge. This tool worked just fine on some closet and cabinet doors throughout our house that had hinges sticking out farther. I wish I could say that we had consistent success because it does seem to be very well-made and durable.

Love the multiple hinge sizes and the ease to use this item. However, from everything we have been reading, this is supposed to be more of a temporary fix than a permanent fix —either way, it delivers on functionality and love it!

What a great tool! I had a cabinet door that wouldn't completely close and I just couldn't get the hinge adjusted, so I just gave up. And then I found this item and had the door closing completely in a matter of minutes, and I didn't have to ask a man to help. One of the best purchases I have made in a while. I would recommend that all you women add this item to your toolbox.
