Color does not match the cap. Should be darker brown but has too much red in it. Do not recommend. Color representation seems to be off with Stove Bright products. Beware!

it was great,,, hard to find this shade in a high heat spray paint.. and the bark brown does look the closest to what rubbed oiled bronze color would be not a match but most similar than other shades offered in high heat paint... note you must remove any old paint as this paint once sprayed onto it will cause existing paint to bubble up

I purchased this product in March 17' and am pretty pleased with its result. The color is a little more red than I would have liked, but it's hard to tell by looking at pics on the internet so I'm uploading some more detailed pics in hopes of showing the products potential in debrassing your 80s home. (Like ours). It's way better than having the brass staring at us in our living room.

This is the perfect color for our new fireplace screen. It was a warmer brown than the paint can cap, but exactly what we wanted. It went on smoothly. We haven’t had a fire yet, so time will tell.

I used this spray paint on my brass fireplace. Wanted an oil rubbed bronze look, but I would say this is more of a milk chocolate color (all decor in the picture are oil rubbed bronze color). The paint went on really easy and dried fast.
