Product is a perfect replacement for the dead factory battery in my old Nook Simple Touch. It came with tools to help open the eReader and repairing my device took less than 5 minutes!

Frayed connections at solder points. Putting the battery into nook agitated the connections enough to fully disconnect the positive wire from the battery. The rest of the connections look to be glued on top of a really bad solder job. Don't recommend wasting your money.

The battery in a New Old-Stock Nook Simple Touch BNRV300 that I purchased as an entry into the EReader market, was kaput. It would not accept a charge, and the Nook would not turn on.I imagine sitting in a sealed box for 14 years had something to do with that. This replacement battery was exactly what it needed to start working. It fit perfectly despite some saying it was slightly too large.I cannot speak for battery life and I do not know how long the original would have lasted. Please be sure to properly dispose of the old battery at a local repair shop, lithium ion batteries will explode if handled improperly, and these pouch cells are particularly prone to it.

Great bang for buck. Restored a totally dead Nook. And holds a charge for a good time period though I don't think it last as long as the original battery. So for a basic e-reader that I can loan or toss around without care, this did a fine job of restoring it to use, even if trying to get amazon kindle books and such to use on it is nearly impossible to do, that isnt the fault of the battery, just a heads up when you try to use it again once you fix it.

My Nook is powered like new again. Very easy to swap the new batter for old. Exact size as original. You will need some clear tape to tape the battery down as the tape on the original battery is very strong and won’t peel off the old battery.Be careful with disassembly. Don’t pry the case apart. There are videos on YouTube that describe how to get to a small screw located under the power button on the back. You simply push the plastic power button a little left or right as you lift the button from the top. The cover will kind of twist out. Then you will see the screw. Remove the screw and push opposite directions up and down on the top and bottom of the frame, and the two sections will slide apart about 1mm. Then you can separate the sections. It’s easier to understand if you watch in a video.

Be careful when disassembling! Remove any SDmicro cards from the slot before removing the rear cover!Still had to do a factory reset, but now the battery is stable and holds a charge.

The installation was super easy. Most of the tools aren't actually necessary if you're patient in sliding the cover back. It does fit very snugly, so firm steady pressure helps a lot. The fit is very, very snug. I thought it wasn't going to work at first, but the flexible outer cover has enough give that with care I was able to seat the new battery properly. An inch or two of double stick tape helps hold it long enough to connect the cable and re-close the NOOK. As soon as I hooked the USB power cable, the battery was at 22% charge. Battery life does seem even better than when my NOOK was new.

The size issues that others have been reporting have apparently been addressed. The battery fits in the walled recess, and the cable lines up properly. It is just a *tiny* bit thicker than the original battery (and taping it in adds a bit more), but the case did close without using excessive force. I can see a little bit of light escaping from the seam between the front and back case next to the charging LED, that's it.Charged it overnight (before reassembling, see below) and it seems to be working just fine so far.I guess we'll see how long it lasts...Recommendation: get comfortable taking your Nook apart and putting it back together again *before* you try changing the battery, so that you have experience with how much force it takes to reassemble. Don't lose the screw!!!Recommendation: take your Nook apart and disconnect the current battery from the circuit board, but *do not* remove the current battery from the case yet. Plug in the replacement battery and charge it overnight using the USB cable, and then (carefully) see if the Nook works using the new battery before messing about with removing the current battery. This saves undoing a lot of work if you discover you happened to get a battery that won't take a charge. The most annoying part of the whole replacement process for me was pulling the adhesive from the stock battery's retention film off of the back of the case. Also, that film is glued to the battery too, so you won't be able to reuse it. Plan on scotch-taping the new battery in place.
