Turn on the device and switch to the magnetic field detection mode. Use the probe to approach the area that needs to be inspected.

Haven't used this yet, but we plan to take a trip soon to a motel in Vermont and will be definitely taking it with us. It does seem to work on non-hidden cams in my own house, so I think it's going to do what I expect. it has a few different modes and settings, but you can easily find help with it on Youtube. It's easy enough to figure out. It's also relatively inexpensive for the peace of mind.

This detector has several sensors to identify concealed recorders. It shines near infrared light which is reflected from light-sensitive camera lenses. It also has green LED to help you to identify cameras with active infrared illuminators. Built-in frequency counter alarms in proximity to wireless transmitters. It also includes a goose-neck wand that has a hall sensor tip which shines light if brought close to magnets. This helps to identify magnetic mounts. You can also adjust sensitivity and beeper volume. The device has both audible and visual alarms. It runs on a built-in rechargeable battery and has a USB-C charging port. Charging cable is also included. The device enclosure is made from aluminum and is quite durable.

Couldn’t figure it out. Not at all user friendly but I have it three stars cause it might work, who knows. Looks cool in the box, but it doesn’t provide enough feedback to know if it’s working or what? Only small beeps. And silence.

It took some time and video reviews to figure out how this item actually works. I have nothing at home to test it on but I will be taking it with me on trips to hotels and rentals. One thing for sure is that I will have to review the videos again before I leave on vacation just to make sure I understand the different modes of detection. From reading other reviews it appears this item works well so I will be interested to see how it works on my upcoming trips.

This little device is surprisingly useful and full-featured for such a low price. I tried it out around my house and it found all of my security cameras. I haven't been able to check its other features, like GPS tracking (and I hope I never have to). I'm definitely going to use it the next time I go to a hotel just so I can feel like James Bond. It may take a bit of practice, it's not quite as simple to use as some of the other reviews would make it seem. I'll bring the little manual along with me (something James Bond wouldn't do).

Just got it and wanted to leave a review how awesome it feels in hand and looks. Everything actually works. And it's sleek. Has the night vision option and infrared detection. And wireless detection and also magnetic field, for GPS tracking devices, it actually is a very useful tool for the paranoid. If you do a lot of traveling, getting Airbnb and hotels, this will be a great option to detect hidden spy cams. Great for the price, other ones that are similar to this one is selling for $60 instead of $20Also has rechargeable battery which is convenient
