Since I had previously cut my thumb on the original blade being careless, I was apprehensive about changing the blade. It was a breeze, I watched the video on this listing and had it changed in less than 5 minutes. What I didn't know before Watchung the video, the top of the tool compartment doubles as a holding tool when removing the last screw and prevents it from falling straight down.The blade arrived with a clear strip on the sharp end of the blade to prevent accidental cuts while handling. It came in a durable strong cardboard tube, tape sealed on both ends and then placed in an Amazon box for security. I give this blade and it's delivery a 10+

It's an exact replacement for the original blade. About the only thing I would improve is to include some instructions on aligning the blade and rotating the plastic backstop. I'll buy another when the need comes around.

So I got this Guillotine paper cutter on fb marketplace. Yeah its used but I am just starting out and didnt have the profit to buy a brand new one YET!So I replaced the blade and it was super easy to do! The blade came really OILY! So be weary.It takes a few cuts to actually get the oil off without wiping the oil off completely.But after the few test cuts its working great!

The length of the blade is correct at 14.76” (37.5cm). The distance between the screw holes, however, is not only incorrect, they are way off. I’ve included their reference photo from this Amazon listing AND my own to-scale image of the blade with the ACTUAL measurements of the screw holes. Their image doesn’t include the distance of the screw holes from the top/bottom of the blade either—which becomes critical if the blade you’re replacing has the same overall dimensions but the gap above/below the holes is different from the HFS blade—as was the case when I attempted to install this one. The TRUE distance between each screw hole is 2.0625 INCHES (51mm). The images on their website are also incorrect, so I spent a lot of time trying to verify my measurements. I’m now positive that their measurements are wrong and that my depiction is precise. I hope they fix this soon on their website and everywhere they are selling this replacement blade.

Very well packed and exactly the blade to replace the HFS heavy duty guillotine 12".Both the extra blade (this item) and the Paper cutter HFS 12" heavy duty guillotine delivered in perfect shape - (diuble box). I tried the cutter and it is very sharp indeed, i only cut around 10 pages of 8x11 bond paper 24lb and it cut silently, straight and easily.

I currently have a guillotine, but the blade does not come extremely sharp. When three months pass, I usually have to order a new one, and when it arrives, it doesn't arrive as sharp; it always arrives dirty or used. But I found the solution to my problem: the blade is good; the problem is that it does not have a durable edge. I found this place on YouTube that sharpens this blade, and it is worth sending it to be sharpened. That's the name of the website where I sent it to be sharpened in case anyone needs it.
