Purchased for a 2014 F150 4x4 Supercrew-The wife & I left Oregon the beginning of October ‘21 for a year long camping trip around the US. I installed an overland truck rack, 48” toolbox, air compressor, fuel cans, etc. in the bed of the truck, in addition to hauling our 23’ 6000lb Travel Trailer. Even with the Weight Distribution Equalizer hitch in play, it still wanted to squat just a bit in the back when fully loaded down (we’re just under the combined towing/cargo GVRW). I have the stock 2+1 OEM leaf springs in the rear, which for our application, isn’t ideal. To replace the existing leaf springs with the HD 4+1 packs, it would have cost around $800 for the 2 spring packs + around $300 in freight shipping costs….so, I opted to give these a shot @ $380 prior to dropping over a grand on the new leafs. I’m not sure exactly why people are having difficulties with installation, I’m uncertain why people are complaining about a “harsher” ride (it’s a truck, not your Dad’s Caddy)….installation of these was done one a patch of gravel, with a 7/8” wrench, with the truck/rear tires on the ground, in around 2 hours. Yes there are some ford engineering shenanigans underneath that one needs to be aware of, specifically, the shocks & brake-lines…set everything in there, measure, adjust, readjust, and you’ll be fine. Make sure to measure the length of the protruding U-bolt threads in the front & rear of the newly installed helper springs on the 1st side so you can set the 2nd side the same (with the proviso that you want the same load level on both sides). I will say that an extra 30 minutes with a cutoff wheel to remove the excess threaded U-bolt material hanging down is likely worth your time, as with the f150 there’s around 2.5” hanging down in the front due to the requirement of fully compressing the front silencer to clear the frame. I preloaded the rear U-bolts to about 1.75” (max per hellwig is 2”) due to the combined bed & tongue weight for me…your results may vary. After installation, it sits at factory height with everything listed above in the bed of the truck, and only about 1” lower with the TT hooked up with a tongue weight around 650-700lbs depending on the various tank levels. Overall, I highly recommend this product!

Did a lot of research on this and similar products. I came across a review similar to my situation and figured for the price i would give them a try. Needless to say by the 5 star rating I am more than satisfied with the purchase. Bought a 7000lb dry weight camper to be pulled by my '02 silverado. The tow home was without the Hellwig springs. The truck was sagging pretty bad in the rear and very light on the front end even with a distribution hitch. Installed the Hellwig springs and now the truck sits perfectly level. I chose the set with the silencers and I don't hear any of the noise other reviews talked about. My truck is a little more rigid with them on when I'm not towing, but the benefit of having them on far outweighs this minor issue and install is easy enough that I will probably take them off when we're not in camping season. Great but!!! Hope this helps.

Wow, well this kit & product did install perfectly and do the job, just as I expected. It took a little figuring to see which kit my truck - 1997 Dodge Ram 4x4 Diesel needed, but the Hellwig website model chart showed the # 61902 kit, with the Silent Feature to be the one.I think they make a couple variations of this kit, depending if you have a Ford, Chevy or Dodge. This kit is helpful for those trucks like mine, that are the 'heavy 3/4 ton' ie the 2500 models, that were made without factory 'camper overload springs'.If you start carrying heavy loads in your bed, or most challenging of all, a top heavy cab-over, slide in Truck Camper (like our Lance Squire 5000 model - a fully self contained 10' camper - 2' hangs over bed in back, 17' from tip to tail), you'll need some extra support to hold the extreme amount of weight you're adding to the rear axle in the bed.So, we added this 2 long leaf helper spring kit - it has all the hardware to install it, and installation wasn't difficult at all.The effect of this kit was to raise the ride height by 3" - it no longer sags badly, in fact it now allows the truck to ride perfectly level. This makes it feel better & safer going down the road, plus it's now totally level when camping - a nice feeling !We also added the 'other' common rear suspension item...the Hellwig Rear Sway bar, at almost the same time. Both are needed if your truck doesn't have them, when carrying heavy bed loads, especially a truck camper. For those doing a TC, it might help to add that we have all 4 Rancho RS9000 Adjustable shocks, and the upgraded 19.5 medium duty 'Rickson' tire & wheel package - in our opinion a must if you're a SRW - single rear wheel - truck, not a dually. So, there's a lot to do if hauling a heavy truck camper, and Hellwig has a great product here. For those just hauling modest loads or pulling a Travel Trailer or 5th wheel, this Hellwig Load Pro 2500 will be all you need, and then some.It bears mentioning that you can adjust the tightness of the outer u-bolts so that the spring is barely or not making contact with the spring ends when truck bed it unloaded - thus meaning you won't notice any difference when running empty - the Spring won't 'go to work' until a load is added and then it will 'Spring' (punny) into action !Wish I could add a picture to the review - maybe later I'll do a video review showing the truck & camper combo.....safe travels & God bless all,David in E Texas

The springs look good and installation was fairly easy. It made a huge difference when towing my 26 foot travel trailer. No more sagging in the rear of my truck at all. I am highly impressed with the difference it made. When unloaded, I can tell the rear is a little stiff but its not too bad. My only problem with these, they make a good bit of noise when unloaded. I even tried to increase the amount of preload on the springs and they still rattle a good bit. Its not so bad on a smooth paved road, but on a gravel or bumpy road its a bit annoying. I imagine they are still a good bit quieter than other springs. I still give it 4 stars because I am so highly pleased with the towing capacity, but if you are expecting a silent ride dont bother.
