Easy install , took 20 mins. I installed this on my 2011 Ford Ranger XLT. there was a slight problem with a flush fitting due to plastic clips on the original leaf spring but was easily solved with just sliding it over. Now it has a slight lift but with a topper or load it looks normal.

My older Ranger was wallowing and sagging a bit when I put a small camper unit on. These helpers eliminated the problem. Easy install. Only complaint: the instructions advises that one should adjust the tension to change the degree of lift. There's no indication which way to adjust tho.

I put these on my son's Ford Ranger to carry a camper what a difference they made lifted the suspension aprox 2 to 2 1/2 inches cut out the sway and made driving way better no more trying to herd the truck down the highway, would definitely recommend these helper springs.

Great quality and performance. Used on my 2010 2.3L Ranger XL. Allows me to tow and haul w/o the back of the truck squatting. Easy to install. Can be adjusted / tuned to match your needs. They can be used to raise the back of the truck only if you desire to do so. Otherwise, they do not change ride-height or the truck's rake.

I purchased this for my 98' Ford Ranger with the goal of leveling the rear while loaded. The truck is loaded down with a camper shell and wooden frame/gear at all times totaling upwards of 400lbs. Before adding this product I was sitting at 33'' in the front and 31'' in the rear. After tightening these down to about 3/4 of the maximum I was able to level the rear to an even 33''. This was incredibly easy to install and only requires removing the wheels and the top bracket holding of the leaf springs. To be clear, you don't need to use C-clamps to hold the leaves as the pin holding the leaf springs together does not need removal. The total install took around an hour without having ever done suspension work.Last note: The instructions for this model still have the misprint stating to install the leaf with the long end in front. As other reviewers mentioned, this is incorrect and the long end should span towards the rear of the vehicle.

Super happy with this product, lifted my truck 1.5 inches, un flattened my leafs and was super easy to install, only reason i didn't give 5 stars in because one u-bolt didn't fit properly on the spring but still works fine!

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and finish on these helper springs. Instructions were easy to follow and I had these on the back of my Ranger in about an hour. I gave 4 stars because some of the u- bolts provided to adjust the leaf's preload kept "tipping over" meaning they would not stay perpendicular to the stock leaf springs. I had to stand the u-bolts back up and make some adjustments to the tension.

Had to two a fairly heavy trailer cross-country and these made all the difference in control and comfort. A true story, I pulled up to a gas station with my 5x8 cargo trailer and a bed full of stuff and right next to me another Ford Ranger pulled up with an empty bed and smaller trailer. The driver said he was half loaded. My trailer and truck were loaded. He said his truck handled like hell with the load dragging his front end up. His Ranger didn't have enough springs to compensate for the trailer. Both trucks had factory tow upgrades, mine has the Hellwig 983EZ cranked to maximum load capacity. Truck rides a bit stiffer without the trailer on, but still handles well.

They could actually bother to have directions that make sense and are correct to mount the springs so you don't spend hours trying to make them work right. They also tell you to mount them backwards for some reason as they would be holding 2 springs on the front and three on the back with their directions. Will have to load the truck now and see if they work but with a garden tractor in the box it didn't seem to sag as much.

I'm very satisfied with the helpers but I give them 4 stars because the instructions were clearly wrong about the orientation of installation on my '97 Ranger 4x4. The instructions say to install them with the long half facing forward; however, if installed that way the end link lower cross straps ride directly on the friction pad tabs under the leaves and push the pads out. If you want your rear suspension to squeak like a rat on crack, go for it. However, when installed the other direction they orient perfectly behind the friction pad tabs and fit like a glove. I suggest, while the stock springs are relaxed, that you replace any worn friction pads on the ends of the leaves and grease any contact points that don't have pads with a heavy white lithium grease to eliminate noise and facilitate proper spring tip sliding movement. It's fast and easy to do at this point. My helpers actually raised the rear about 1.5 inches--overstressing both the stock leaves and helpers--but relaxing the helpers by adjusting the links with about 2" of thread below the link nuts before adding the second jam nuts raised the rear of the truck .75", improved the ride, and eliminated the constant squeaking of the springpack resting on the bottom factory overload leaf. I haven't really loaded the truck up yet since installation but the helpers do seem to respond well to lighter loads and improved the ride significantly. I'll report later when I get an opportunity to really work the truck again by hauling a pallet (one ton) of wood pellet fuel when I need another one later this winter. As the suspension has worn and sagged, a pallet of pellets or load of gravel has put the bumper within a foot of the ground and the nose in the air but that's the beauty of 4.0L Rangers: they came with the same running gear and beefy frame dimensions as a fullsize half-ton and with good springs they'll take a beating and outwork any other small truck on the road.

I installed this on my 2011 Ford Ranger, XLT, manual transmission, 4.0l, six foot bed. I measured the rear height before and after, it raised it an inch. Installation was easy with an air impact gun, I only used the impact to remove the u-bolt nuts. I lowered the truck frame onto a jack stand and used my jack to raise and lower the rear end as needed. The instructions states "only do one side at a time". If you remove both sides at the same time and you don't have the rear end supported on jack stands, the entire rear end will drop and it could ruin the brake lines, wheel speed sensors wires, e-brake cable etc...Not good! Results: I put my daughter's ATV in the bed of my truck and another ATV in my 8 foot long by 6 foot wide trailer and man what a difference. The rear end doesn't squat/sag like it use to and cornering is much tighter when going up through the mountains. My experience: I've been working on cars for the past fourteen years as a side gig, all makes, models and years. I also do professional detailing on the side.Installing this is probably not that difficult for your really casual type mechanic. Could be difficult if your truck is older and your bolts are rusty, you may need an impact gun or a breaker bar and some PB blaster. Before installing the helper springs my truck already had Rancho 5000 series shocks all around and urethane front stabilizer bars. Results may vary.I also leveled out my front end by tightening the torsion bar key bolts. After installation:Front = 34 inchesRear = 35 1/2 inchesI've attached some photos.
