Brand new, out of the package, the stone inlay fell out. No glue or adhesive inside.

These caps fit perfectly on my Carol Brass trumpet. I was surprised at how much I liked the larger buttons. They feel much more comfortable. I’ve gotten lots of compliments and definitely feel like the trumpet slots better. Plays a little darker/richer too.

These are nice buttons that are competitively priced. These buttons have a heavy horn appearance. I like them as they work with all my Yamaha horns and match perfectly with any lacquered horn. There are three photos that I posted in this review, the first is my Yamaha 631 gold plated flugelhorn with the buttons installed, the second is my Shew Bflat trumpet in Lacquer and the third photo is my Silver Plated XENO 8335R. If I was to specifically buy buttons for a silver plated horn I would most definitely get the buttons in silver plate, which is also available. These buttons do fit my silver plated Stomvi flugelhorn also, however, I already have custom buttons on that horn so I am thinking that I probably won’t use the new buttons on that horn.I have never changed valve buttons specifically to change how a horn plays as in my opinion, there is not enough weight in each button to do so. I buy different buttons to change how the horn looks. However, please note that anytime you replace valve buttons on any horn with a different button, you should be aware that it might change the valve alignment. This change might affect the downstroke which is when the valve is pressed down. Changing the valve alignment could effect the way the horn flows or slots the notes. I found that I the different buttons have some effect on the valve alignment on my Yamaha 631 flugelhorn which already has a Dr Valve valve alignment. So, I would need a little thinner downstroke felt on each valve top cap to make the valve line up correctly. However, not much change on the Yamaha Shew B flat valve alignment.Bottom line they are a nice replacement to any horn with plain stock manufactured buttons and they are at a fair price point.

I have been a customer of KGU for many years and their products are nothing short of outstanding. I have the raw brass heavy set with turquoise buttons on my Yamaha Xeno trumpet and they are outstanding. They give the horn a great feel with a noticeable weight and flow change, I love them. A great add-on to any traditional horn that you want to add an aesthetic change and even more importantly some increased mass to the sound, there is truly a difference that can be heard. As always, everything fit perfectly so no worries at all in that area.

Just received these beautiful finger buttons and they look great! The beautiful and subtle coloring are a nice addition to my horn. Not only do they look great but the added mass as compared to the stock buttons seems to help the notes center a little better with a nice rich sound profile.Grab a set today, you won’t be disappointed!!
