I’m sure it works well. I just had no need for it. I’m saving it in case I get a better set up.

Unlike many otherrs, this ARC to stereo converter does allow control of the analog audio volume by the TV remote. It is powered from a USB port on the TV. Nice solid product. Easy to set up, as long as you set the HDMI ARC to on, audio to PCM and CEC to on. Full range stereo output.

So happy I found this! Just bought a new TV that only has an HDMI eARC port for external audio but my old sound receiver uses an optical cable. I really didn't want to invest in a new receiver, so I thought I'd give this a try. I unboxed the product, plugged in all the cables (you will need your own charging brick to plug in the DC power cable if you're not plugging it into a USB port on your TV), turned my TV on and everything works like a charm! Fantastic product!

Tried to use this as an arc adaptor for a samsung tv. I wanted to be able to switch back and forth between the tv speakers and the arc adaptor. You can't do this. The seller messaged me saying that to get it to work like this, I'd have to physically unplug the adaptor any time I don't want it to be actively in use because it constantly pings the tv to switch to arc.

Product quickly arrived in good condition. Hookup to my Sony Bravia TV was straightforward. Problem is... this device is not recognized by the TV's ARC/eARC port. After a couple hours of menus and support web sites I gave up.

Recently replaced my 11 year old Samsung TV with a brand new 2024 43” Samsung flat screen. I have an old Bose soundbar from 2014 that has an optical cable input to play sound and needed it to connect it to my new Samsung TV (which shockingly didn’t provide an optical sound output port). It was easy to hookup, however you need to make sure that you have a way to plug in the provided USB cord to a power source. It took me less than 5 minutes to hook it all up and the sound quality is exceptional! I saved hundreds of dollars not having to purchase a new soundbar! Definitely great value for the money!

I wanted to add a blue tooth device to my tv so my hearing aids would provide sound so as not to bother other people in our home. So I added this so I could use the ARC/eARC hdmi output to then hook up to the bluetooth device. Our tv is an LG utilizing ARC/eARC. With hdmi hooked up to sound bar, I got great sound. With cable then hooked up to this device, no sound, no matter what I did. I tried different cables which had proven to work, etc. This device may not work with ARC/eARC? Returned device.

I really don’t know how to rate this little helper. I have an old Bose Lifestyle 5 speaker surround sound, and recently updated my TV. Lo and behold—no RCA inputs on the TV. What to do? YouTube of course. Some guy said this handy gadget would work, but I was skeptical. But, heck it was only $25 on Amazon, so why not? It took some trial and error and the little bit of common sense I have, but it does connect the new with the old. Why does every new electronic product have to use new inputs and outputs? I guess so little gadget makers can exist. My trepidation for the rating is strictly because there are no bells and whistles. It works, that’s it, 4 stars. Done.
