I loved reading some of the negative reviews, and seeing that so many just don't know how to use this correctly. So my review will contain comments about how to make good coffee using it.Glass and ceramic versions may look better and feel nicer, but if you're making a light roast drink then you need heat, and the plastic version warms up quicker and holds the heat. Yes plastic feels cheap but it's actually the best choice for a beginner especially.Open up a filter paper and insert it in the holder then run some freshly boiled water all over the filter to rinse it and remove paper taste, and warm the holder. (Bleached white papers will have a better flavour too.) Grind your coffee now, and finer is generally better than coarser. Make a little depression in the middle of the grounds. Pour your water in starting in the centre and moving around in a circle working outwards but never at any stage allow the water to pour down the side of the paper. If it does, it will flow straight through to the cup and make a terrible drink. The water must flow through the grounds!Add water in three stages. The first is just a couple of teaspoons, enough to moisten all the coffee and no more. Next stage, pouring slowly, enough water to fill to very near the top. Take your time. When it's almost run through, add more and probably just about 2/3 of the full amount. Assuming you used about 15g of coffee, you should be adding 250ml of water in total, more than enough for that single cup. The total time this should all take will be about a minute and 45 seconds.If the water is running through far too quickly, you need to grind finer. Keep going finer until you suddenly stop liking the taste and get a bad one. The above method can be refined, but that's the basics.The price for this holder is great value, and the results you can get are consistent once you've nailed your technique. You can't get a simpler method for producing a great drink. If you want to be making more than 300ml of drinks at once, then the 02 size will work better, but if you only ever make single cups the 01 is the one to get.

I was using the v60 02 for making one cup which was fine. But I read that the hole a the bottom of the v60 01 is sized for one cup and it also allows you to pour your water closer to the grounds. In other words it is optimized for one cup. Having said this the V60 02 made a good cup too.

Parfait pour faire une tasse de café. Le plastique semble plus pratique à utiliser que les autres matériaux puisqu'il est plus facile à préchauffer.Faire du café avec un V60 reste plus difficile qu'avec beaucoup d'autres méthodes mais le résultat vaut les efforts.

I've been a die-hard aeropress fan for a long time, but I've also been drinking darker coffee that time. Moving over to lighter roasts, this does a better job of making a crisp, clean brew. Still like the aeropress more for the dark roasts though.

Makes a fine cup of coffee if you get your ratios, temperature, and method right. Pro: easy to use and clear, durable. Con: plastic. I prefer glass or stainless steel.

This Plastic dripper is light, easy to clean and it does pretty decent job, which it traps the heat consistantly and perform really well in professional circumstance. I love the clear one because it looks beautiful from outside and it fits my cafe's vibe so perfectly. With its pretty affordable price I would highly recommend to friends who love to use V60 for making pour over.

Absolutely love my V60, use it with my Commandante C40 hand grinder to make delicious pour over coffee. I purchased the size 01 for single cup servings ( ranges of 12g up to 20g) since I'm the only one in the house that drinks coffee. It's so easy to use and clean, love that it's clear/see though, plastic material helps with thermal management and is practically indestructible. Highly recommend and very affordable!

Got the plastic 01. It looks tiny, comparing to other drippers I had used before. (I did not previously owe any V60) However, it's perfect for a 8-10oz cup (3/4 full of a regular mug). I am very satisfied with it. If you aim to make coffee for just one person, this is perfect. The dripper comes with 40 paper filters inside the box, which makes it even better value. However, I'd recommend, if you have the capacity, look into the Hario cloth filter. It's just so good and more sustainable. James Hoffmann has a video talking about how to keep cloth filter clean(avoid molded) for a long time, would recommend watch that too.
