Love pour over coffee. This can be used over a single mug or a pot. The shape is appropriate for melitta filters (which another one was not).

Personable I hae coffee but my spouse is addicted to the stuff. This works as a simple solution to the morning cravings. It is also a way to filter other liquids. Travels well or can be used at home .

A person needs to hold this on top of their cup while brewing coffee as it is not steady or secure. However, it works as described and makes a wonderful cup of coffee.

I’ve been disillusioned with my pod coffee maker for quite some time; besides the pods being environmental disasters, I found that even if the reservoir looks empty, there is remaining water in the channels where the reservoir fits into the machine. Although I regularly cleaned my machine, I discovered black mold in mine that was only visible when I swabbed the small channels with Q-tips. I often wonder how much of this mold I consumed with my morning coffee! Ugh!We bought a Chemex for making several cups at a time, but I like a single cup in the afternoon…this is just right for making one or two cups at a time. Provides the perfect vehicle for producing that perfect fresh drip-brewed cup of coffee. Retains all the heat and flavor consistently. Couldn’t be easier or work better. So if you want to have a FRESH cup every time, avoid using the pods. After you get a fresh cup every time, you’ll realize that your pod coffee was flavorless compared to this easy method. Every bit as convenient as pods, but you use fresh CLEAN water every time.

I like the ceramic. I would think that perhaps stainless steel might impart undesired tastes, but can't say for sure. This produces the best coffee I've ever made at home, and I'm picky. I hand grind my beans just before brewing, and formerly used a one-cup Bunn MCU Brewer, which was great, but this is fantastic.LESSON LEARNED: I was surprised at how S-L-O-W the coffee drained into the cup until I happened to look at the rinsed filter just before adding the coffee. The bottom seam of the paper filter, which is two layers of the paper, just like the side seam, was sitting directly over the three drain holes in the pour over. This was impeding the flow. The solution was to follow to the directions (that's a first) on the Melitta box to fold over the bottom and side seams before placing in the pour over. Position the filter so that only a single thickness of the paper covers the three bottom drain holes. Use a little water to help it stay in place before rinsing and then brewing.Be sure to rinse each filter in-place in the pour over with brewing temperature water before you brew. If you drain that into your coffee cup, and not the sink, also rinse your cup afterwards to remove any off flavors that result from this rinsing.Take 2-3 minutes to pour the water in during brewing. Don't dump in as much as the pour over can hold and wait. This is a slow process if you want to the best coffee. You can read more about encouraging the "bloom" during brewing on the Web.I've had coffee brewed by every conceivable method. If I'm at a coffee shop that offers pour over I always ask for that since it was so much better. Now brewing that at home with this and it's delicious.

I just got my ceramic coffee pour over and absolutely love it. The ceramic brewer is well made and doesn’t contain any plastic pieces that can alter the taste of your coffee. I am a teacher and our school has a single cup Keurig maker for 41 staffers. I was using the k-cups but they were really expensive and I didn’t like having to wait in line to brew my coffee in the morning. A fellow teacher recommended the Ceramic Coffee Pour Over or Dripper by Simply Charmed. This is for serious coffee drinkers who enjoy a piping hot cup of freshly brewed coffee. It was easy to use and made the best tasting single brew I’ve ever had. When brewing your coffee, make sure you put in the #2 filter and pre-wet it before adding the coffee. It helps to extract the flavor and allow for faster water absorption. My pour over came with an ample supply of #2 melitta filters which I really appreciated. This pour over is convenient, well made and costs much less than individual cups. This is a great gift for teachers or anyone who truly enjoys a well-made cup of coffee. I would highly recommend it!
