Overall it seems like an OK little durometer for the money but it also feels cheaply made. I was disappointed that the "metal" parts of the dial only look metal but are actually chrome-painted plastic which feels brittle. Likewise, the crystal covering the dial is also cheap plastic.According to the listing the durometer employs "Alloy material,fine workmanship, waterproof and corrosion resistant". I'm guessing that none of these are true.Build-quality aside, it seems to make relatively accurate measurements and should work for the project for which it was purchased.

the readings I get using this durometer are less than half of what I expected compared to values from nicer durometers on the same tires.
