I use this paper for watercolor painting. I like the texture and the amount of water it holds. And the price is very reasonable.

This paper is perfect for adding texture to my handmade cards. It’s the perfect weight and consistency. Holds up well to watercolors/liquid medium. Holds onto the color without over- saturating the paper.

I recently began a continuing education watercolor class at my local community college, so I got a package of Hapikalor paper and a beginner's paint set. I'm just doing exercises so far, learning wet on wet and wet on dry techniques, creating swatches, color wheels, and value charts. This is pretty decent paper for that kind of work. When my skill level is no longer the limiting factor in the quality of my work, I'll buy higher quality materials. In the meantime, I've already bought a second pad.

Ia a fantastic choice for anyone who loves to paint, whether you're just starting out or an experienced artist. Its thick 140 lb (300 gsm) paper holds up beautifully to water, so you can paint freely without worrying about warping or bleeding. The 9"x12" size gives you plenty of room to create, while the texture strikes a great balance—smooth enough for details but textured enough to grab your paints. Plus, the teal cover isn't just protective; it’s stylish and makes this pad feel extra special. The sheets are glued at the top, so you’ll need to be careful when removing a page, but that’s a small tradeoff for the quality you’re getting.
