I’ve also seen reviews from other customers saying that it fits perfectly with their x100vi units. Maybe it’s inconsistencies with the camera units coming out of the factories but mine didn’t fit flush at all with a visible gap where I could see the threads. Seemed to be made out of good materials though.

If you're a pretentious X100 series camera owner and wanted to be even more insufferable by adding accessories to a pocket camera, defeating it's key feature of being able to fit in your pocket, boy do I have good news for you. This brushed metal lens hood lets everyone know that your coffee order is needlessly long and barely resembles coffee by the time they mix everything you've demanded into it for a $13 medium (I won't use your silly size names SB's no matter how many times you repeat them back to me when I say medium). So you can rest easy while you struggle to carry your super annoying and flamboyant coffee while trying to stuff this no longer pocket sized camera (Because I'll bet you already bough the grip attachment too) into your cargo shorts and keep spilling almond milk foam on your Birkens that you will likely dog whistle to all of the other blue and green haired folk that you are headed out to the next "pro!est" and you'll be there to snap already over processed selfies for everyone with a black umbrella with their masks on.

I had another expensive hood for my X100V but decided to give this one a try for my X100VI and was happy I did, this is just as nice for a much better price, I highly recommend this item hood.

First of all, the product is of excellent quality and the silver matches very well with my silver X100VI. If Haoge made a X100VI specific hood I'll definitely purchase. The reason I did not keep the product is because after mounting, there is a 1mm gap between the base of the hood's mount, and the camera's mount. See attached photo. I also own a Haoge filter mount and it worked perfectly for X100VI and the connection points are flush in a line, without a gap. I've decided just to stick with filter for now and see if haoge will make a X

I really wanted to like this lens hood since it looks so good in the photos. However, once I received my X100 camera, I put on the lens hood and the screw mount (for the lens hood) keeps going about 90 degrees further than the horizontal alignment with the camera. It looks ridiculous, imagine someone wearing glasses that are tilted to one side = that's what the X100 looked like. I bought two of these and both had the same problem. One was worse than the other. Since the X100 was backordered, by the time I returned this product, I only got a partial refund.

Materials are fine, easy install and the hood opening lines up “level” for me. I ordered the cap also and it fits snugly. Silver matches the X100V silver very well. IMO it’s the best looking of the hoods out there but YMMV. Works seamlessly with my Glimmerglass 1. Not sure it makes that much difference but I feel better about camera durability with a hood on.

I used this for my Fujifilm x100v. Followed the video on Amazon to install (minus the white gloves). No issues getting the correct alignment. Cap fits nicely over hood. Cannot attest to durability since I just got it. Now my overpriced x100v is one more step to full hipster awesomeness - sarcasm aside, it works great for the camera, and I really am enjoying the x100v (and I don't even have TikTok).

This is an extremely cool-looking lens hood when it is horizontal, but good luck getting it to screw in tightly and end up horizontal. The instructions above note that you don’t have to screw it in “until the end” but if you don’t, it swivels around loosely and if you do it can wind up off-horizontal and looks stupid. The trick is to keep trying different starting positions when you screw it in.Aside from this minor problem—which I suppose is endemic to square hoods—the materials and machining are high quality. The metal finish does not quite match my X100-T, but is very close. I have read that the F and V have a slightly different finishes, so it may match one or both of those perfectly.
