The lens hood fits the Q3 43 perfectly. It is indistinguishable from the original hood, but the macro function works with a protective filter on the lens as advertised.

Not a Q3 lens cap. It is the older Q2 cap that barely covers the sun shade. The new Q3 caps are deeper and cover nearly the entire lens hood. They are far more secure. This older, obsolete, Q2 lens cap falls off easily. See accompanying photo with Leica Q3 hood on top and the off-brand Haoge Q2 hood on the bottom.

Looking for alternative round lens hood for my Q2. This comes as an affordable alternative to Leica OEM. The only negative is the outer hood is slightly too narrow? I wish is it 2-3mm longer.

Fits perfectly and construction is excellent. I use this sometimes to keep my OEM Leica hood free from nicks. Recommended.

Leica should have made this. If you want to be able to do macro with your Q3 43 get this lens hood. Leica will never did get around to making one. And they will charge three times the price if they ever do get around to it.

Much tighter fit than the Leica original. In fact it takes an effort to put it on and remove. Once on, it should not fall off even if jiggled accidentally. I use my Leica incognito, so I like the no brand label.

Fits a bit more snugly than the OEM lens cover, which is a plus for traveling. It’s well made for the price as well when compared to the OEM cover.

The Leica Lens cap fits loosely around lens shade and just doesn't stay on. I guess that's why I lost it. This Haoge lens cap has some felt around the sides and fits snuggly on the lens shade. Nice product.

I lost the original lens cap within months of getting my new Leica Q. Cap was too lose and easily dropped off. The Hoage cap seems to be tighter and seems to hold on and stays on the camera so far.
