If your keyboard does not light up this is a great find. I have purchased other lights for my laptop and this is by far the best one. It plugs into the port and is bendable to shine where you need it perfectly. Has 2 settings. Highly recommend. I purchased one for my husband as well.

I needed a nightlight for a laptop without backlit keys. This product works perfectly. I can put the light on the side, low down, or at 45 degrees, or pull it over in front of me, or have it almost on the middle top of the keys. Seems sturdy and well constructed, so I give it 5*.Things I'd change? I would maybe leverage the fact that it's a USB device to give it a control app on the computer. Maybe more brightness settings, maybe give it a color LED to bathe your keyboard in purple or green, etc. Maybe also give it a blue filter on a schedule? All nice to haves, but the bottom line is that it does exactly it told you it would do. Nice product.

The plus side: Bright clear light running from USB port, which I use to light the keyboard of the laptop that I thought was backlit when I bought it, but was not. Pliable arm seems sturdy and adjusts to wide range of positions. Good price.The negative: When I attached it to my laptop the lamp is not focused just downwards, it also shines a little to each side. If you twist it a little so that edge doesn't shine ion your eyes, it makes the reflection in the laptop screen even worse. I'm planning to craft a piece of paper I can tape to the back of the light to fix the problem, but that's not great looking. If you're not using it to light your keyboard this may be an issue.

For a simple device, it's pricey, however, it hasn't broken so far and I don't think it will and I haven't compared it to others. But really the use is incredible, if you need to keep the light low it's absolutely perfect because you can bend it and turn it. It's not too bright which is good at night, people won't know that someone is using the computer. You can't expect this little device to be an airport halogen, that's ridiculous. It has two lights which is great if you need it brighter, however, one light is good enough. Plus, once one light is burnt out, you could use the other light, awesome. The person(s) who designed this really thought it through but it is pricey for what it does.

I purchased this light to use on my laptop keyboard when I'm out writing at coffeehouses. I don't have a lighted keyboard and need to see the keys. I find that it has not been working all that well. The light only covers part of my keyboard and it creates a bright reflection on my computer screen that prevents me from seeing what I'm working on.The light works as described, it powers on my computer without a problem. It is small enough to tuck into my laptop bag without taking up too much space. So while it is not a great light for me, if light brightness is not an issue for you, this might be an acceptable solution for your lighting needs. I have kept the light, deciding to not return it, I only use it for extreme dimness when I can't go anywhere else.
