The first design I tried was full of mistakes - and there are no charts. However the photos were clear enough to finally puzzle out what to do. Example: "connect to the last picot on the previous ring" only that bent the chain around into a circle, clearly different from the picture. Really meant "previous *chain*! And the one tricky point, the one thing 'Celtic' about it, wasn't even mentioned in the directions!! Only an arrow on the photo saying "Note the picot under the picot". Most of the other designs are quite small items too 'busy' visually.

These are nice patterns. Some of them don't fit my aesthetic but they're not bad! I'm happy.

A good tatting book, good directions and pictures. The only thing I had hoped for was a bit more in the way of examples. It would be nice if there were more elaborate ideas, but all in all it is a good start.

Love this and it has been a great help. My grandmother taught me to tat and crochet years ago and now that I'm retired I've picked it back up again. This book has a lot of patterns to inspire and guide me

This book was received last week and I have only had time to scan it. I was happily surprised with the smaller projects which I can utilize and expand on. This is what I was hoping the book would be like.
