I have just recently learned to tat and this shuttle is definitely my favorite. My mother tried to teach me before she passed away, but she always used the bobbin shuttles. I wanted to learn the traditional style, so when I learned that the post shuttle is actually the original style, I had to learn with that. Then I got this shuttle and love it! I love that it has an actual crochet type hook on it because that saves me from having to stop and look for my hook each time I need it.

I really this tatting shuttle. It's a beautiful color and comfortable to hold. It's just the right size for my hands.PS: My little helper liked my shuttle too. He thought it was a car.

I've used a variety of different shuttles, and this one is my new favorite. It's a little taller than my other shuttles, which took a bit of getting used to, but that also means it holds more than the Aerlit or others I've been using. The ends are loose enough that I can easily wind or unwind thread from it with one hand while I'm tatting. And, of course, the hook is very functional. I'll definitely be buying more in different colors.

I bought this to teach a class so that I can show what modern tatting shuttles are like. Strictly a preference thing. I like metal with a bobbin. This is plastic with no bobbin. However, metal shuttles are are hard to come by now.

I love the Moonlit Shuttles. I cannot wait to get all the colors. I don't care for bobbin shuttles and I always misplace my crochet hooks. I love having the best of both worlds in one. and the sapphire color is gorgeous!
