I thought this was the answer to my toaster dilemma. But in 6 months the unit stopped toasting one side of the toast. piece of junk.

This is our first toaster that we don't have to flip the bread over so it toasts evenly. Very nice.

Several things I like about this. The bagle setting is nice in that it directs more heat to the cut side when loaded per the image on the top. The single slice option is also a very nice touch. The level controls seen consistent and repeatable from side to side. A previous toaster we tried and returned because the top and sides got and stayed hot to the touch for some time after the cycle was complete - this one does not. I like the pull out crumb tray over the drop door but, the location in the back of the unit makes it less convenient than if it were in front as you still need to pick up the unit to access them.

My old toaster, while still working was getting a little beat-up so I decided to replace it. All I can really say about this one is that it does what it says it will do. I was a little surprised to see that they don't recommend using it for toaster pastries, but other than that I'm happy.

It’s a solid toaster. I am not in love with the down control as you have to push harder than expected to engage the lock. But overall it does a great job and it looks nice.

In January 2024 I purchased the Hamilton Beach 4 slot toaster with defrost option from Amazon Canada. I received a used or possibly a refurbished toaster. It was obvious it wasn’t a brand new toaster. Amazon sent me a replacement. Now 9 months later the left side two slots are only toasting the bread on one side.Sent the manufacturer a email through the Amazon contact the manufacturer option. No response. Tried calling the Hamilton Beach 1-800 number. Waste of time. No option to talk to a person. Recording provided a email address. Sent a email and it bounced back undeliverable. Finally made contact and was informed I had to pay $30 for shipping to receive a warranty replacement. Absolutely ridiculous to have to pay this much money for a warranty replacement especially since the toaster is less than 1 year old. Never experienced a manufacturing company having the customer pay for the warranty replacement. I would never purchase a product from this company ever again.

I love this toaster. It works great, it looks great and has several settings. Easy to use and to clean. One of the best toasters I have ever owned.
