This toaster oven has a setting for perfect toast and English muffins , and another for bagels. I've had great results using these settings for these products. In addition it seems to toast much quicker than my previous TO and the slide out crumb tray is so easy to use. I have not used it for baking, etc. so cannot comment on that.

I’m going from a Cuisinart to this one, because the Cuisinarts only last a few years and I was sick of shelling out about $100 every few years. This works okay but just doesn’t have the features of the Cuisinart and I’m wishing I just got another Cuisinart. I don’t need anything real fancy, just something that toasts without having to be watched and that’s easy to clean…Pros:-Compact-Toasts okayCons:-Doesn’t pull the rack out when you open the door, making it a bit harder to load and remove food without burning yourself or using those toast tongs-The crumb tray is very poorly designed, you have to tilt it to get it out so it’s almost impossible to remove the tray to clean it without dumping crumbs out inside the unit, and there is a large gap in the front where crumbs fall down under the tray-The dial makes it almost impossible to set to just the right setting so you have to sit there and watch your food to make sure it doesn’t burn

Great substitute for a large oven. Bakes, broils. Easy to use. The inside is tall enough to cook a French bread pizza with lots of toppings without them sticking to the top of the oven. Perfect for two people meals. Great value. Easy to clean.

I was aware before decide purchasing this toast oven that I m only need it to toast bred , bagels , others small meals . not for heavy works like baking large meals , for that I use the stove oven . the product itself is very pretty , shine , , charm . it feels well in any counter . I do recommend it if you are looking for a toaster oven and save in buy-in a toaster counter only , this toast oven are always handy and helpful in any kitchen home .

I like the small size of this oven, and that it did not take long to burn off the chemical factory smell. The oven is compact and efficient, however I noticed it takes a bit longer to cook items than my previous larger oven. Overall fantastic value if you want a small manually controlled toaster oven.

We like the clean lines and chrome finish of this Toaster oven. We are learning about how to use all the different functions. So far it heats up quickly, toasts and gets the bread nice and brown.
Very comfortable... love them

This replaced a toaster that was not toasting bagels well. It also will replace small baking uses of a much larger Cosori air-fryer/oven. First two tries with bagels worked very well, bread toast came out well, and it baked half of a thawed lasagna sold frozen by a favorite Italian deli as well as the Cosori with identical time and temperature settings. The lasagna baked property in both ovens at the same time and temperature as the deli specifies. Optimistic. The compactness fits my gadget-crowded kitchen well. This could earn a go-to position and a fifth review star if next tests with frozen pizza slices, roasting a few bacon slices treated with maple syrup, toasting english muffins, baking a few corn muffins, and reheating leftovers work well. The larger Cosori fryer/oven and two convection-toaster predecessors replaced all uses of my house's main oven; however this HamBeach is much more efficiently sized for making meals and sides for 1 or 2 people. The main thing I would change is to make the AC power cord a foot longer for more flexible placement. A contorted sideways oven placement because of the short cord makes it hard to see any of the three control knobs; perhaps a very short extension cord is in this machine's future. The 1970's feel, such as the mechanical timing knob, is unappealing after each of my series of earlier convection-toaster ovens provided intuitive and reliable modern user interfaces for much more complex operations. My first mistake with this oven was to set the controls including the timer, hear the timer ticking and think it was operating, but the oven was not warming up. Yep, the AC wire was unplugged (as is recommended between uses). Probably 30 minutes later the finished ping would have sounded (not loudly enough for a single ping), even with no power to cook.

This is a basic Toaster Oven - sized at "4 slice" so it has a small footprint, unlike the "6 slice" which are significantly larger. No frills, low cost, and it works. The GOOD: I like the way they put the drip pan under the rack. It slides in/out when roasting or broiling. Saves having to have a separate drip pan/rack for roasting and broiling - means another 1" or so of clearance inside oven. Great design idea.I thought the BAGEL option would be useless, but it has turned out to be a good feature. Basically, anything which you want toasted on one side and just warmed on the other (bagels, English muffins, croissants, sandwich rolls, etc.) you put the food on the rack in the upper level cut-side-up and use the BAGEL setting. Works well. Anything you want toasted on both sides - like bread - use the lower rack setting and the TOAST option. Kudos for providing something I didn't care about but found very helpful. The slide out crumb tray is another plus. You don't have to turn the unit on its back and tilt out the tray like some others and fish around inside where live wires are located. It heats fast - appears to have a quartz element instead of the usual wire element and that's good. The "COULD BE BETTER" items - I don't like the mechanical timer. But in fairness, it works and the results appear to be repeatable if you use the pictograms on the face of the unit. But in this day and age, a digital timer would have been preferred, together with a digital temperature readout. Others complain about the tick-tick-tick on the timer, but I didn't find that objectionable. It's not really that loud. Many of the toaster ovens have only a 30 minute timer, like this one. I think that's too little - a basic meatloaf takes about an hour. Should have a 60 minute timer. It's hard to read the information next to the dials. The dials are large (easy to grab and turn) but get in the way of reading the settings. H-B has another toaster oven at the same price with what appear to be better black plastic knobs, but different features. Why two designs of knobs? The door slams shut. It would be nice if it were damped somehow. It is bright with polished stainless (so they say) steel outer material. Stands out in the kitchen. I'd like something a bit less visible, perhaps black, or perhaps a brushed metal, or black stainless steel. I know, that's expensive, but the option even at a higher price would be nice. The VERDICT:Overall, this is a sturdy reliable oven (so far), at a great price. There don't appear to be many 4-slice toaster ovens so this is a good choice, despite the things I'd like to see different. It has a small footprint and fits where the bigger ones wouldn't. My criticisms are minor - this thing does the job and doesn't cost a huge amount. Don't be put off by the confusion on where the rack has to be - you'll get used to the options after a few uses. Some reviewers complained about cord length. We didn't find that an issue, although the cord is short. High-amperage heating appliances should not have long cords. It's a safety issue. And by the way - be sure you follow their recommendations and run the unit at high temp for 10 minutes before you put food in, to burn off any residual oils used in manufacture. After that, there is no odor from the oven.
