I bought my last toaster locally , nothing compares this one has the large opening for my once in awhile bagels, and it’s made very sturdy

This is an attractive well priced toaster. The stainless steel exterior looks good and is easy to keep clean. It has adequate settings for toasting darkness that certainly span the minimum and maximum anyone would want. The slide control is OK and allows items to be hoisted adequately to grab them -- though I'd prefer it raise them a little higher. The toasting is not perfect, with slices or bagels coming out with dark and light spots. I'm not sure if there is any toaster that does this perfectly. But this one does a better job on bagels and bread than my toaster oven. Its a worthy improvement for about $20.

Looks new works great. I bought the used like new and I agree that it is like new. Arrived clean and packaged like it was new. Toast functions seem to work fine so far.

Replaced ancient Hamilton Beach toaster that only toasted 1/2 of slice. Love the lift feature and multi options. Blends well with my stainless appliances and does not take up much room on counter. Looks high end, not like those plastic models in big box store.

Bought this because it was cheap and had a good report in Consumer Reports. However, it toasts unevenly, worse than a similarly cheap B&D.

The folded directions were placed right under the top seam where folks will use their box cutters to open the box - so it gets wrecked. (Deducted star for that.) A very attractive toaster with thoughtfully placed buttons and easy to read dial. But, a problem I didn't have with my previous toaster is this: on toasting a second set of bread, if you toast a set right after the first, you should turn the dial down a bit or else the bread will toast darker than the first. For the price and reputation, you can't go wrong.

This is a 4.5 star review - it would have been 5 stars except for one issue.The good: Firstly, this toaster has a proper bagel setting unlike many other toasters. The bagel setting on this toaster just does one side - so ideal for bagels, buns, english muffins and the like. I prefer these items to have a toasted inside and warmed but untoasted outside - exactly what this toaster does. The bagel setting on many other toasters, including a different one I recently purchased (and then replaced with this one), simply adds extra time when on the bagel setting, with all burners lit up. That's not what I want.The toaster works well, it is nicely sized (not too big), has reasonably wide slots, an extra lift to get items out of the toaster and is easy to clean.The Bad: As other reviewers have pointed out, a design flaw is that the toaster reverts to its 4 setting every time. So if you like a 5 darkness to your toast, you have to manually change to to 5 each time - it will not remember that setting. I personally don't find it an issue since the 4 setting is normally fine, or I just pop it back down for a bit of extra toasting - but for some this could be really annoying. Hopefully this problem will be fixed by the manufacturer in future models of this toaster.

It tilt to the front when I push the lever. If the bread isn't just right, I can't put it back down again right away, I need to wait 15 seconds or so. Very not practical when making breakfast for 2-3 people.Bagel button doesn't seem to do anything.the 2 pros: it looks nice in my opinion, and the frozen button works like a charm.
