Very disappointed... We purchased this to replace the one we have had for over 10 years.. it also is a Hamilton which we purchased at a local brick and mortar store.We were very happy to get it delivered the day after we placed the order.....From there,, all was down hill. When we placed some bread in it and pressed down on the start/latch lever... The lever did not latch. The lever returned back to its off, or up position, and of course the toasting cycle never started.We tested it again on another outlet just in case the one the old toaster had been plugged into was faulty,,, and the new toaster,,, again didn't work... by the way, the outlet in question is and was working,,, we have an ice maker plugged into that outlet and it's making ice.I will be returning this for a refund,,, I just don't have a good feeling about replacing it with an identical one which might have the same factory issues.

Guess I need to learn to get this at the setting I need to toast my sourdough bread. The bagel setting is nice for toasting the inside side of the bagel/English muffin. Electric cord could have been just a little longer for where I wanted to place my toaster.

It is a 2 slice toaster. It does have wide slots that fits bagels or even texas toast quite well.It does toast things with electric heat elements.It won't bring you joy or fulfillment, thats what bread and butter are for.

Toasts evenly and quickly. Sleek style, looks great. Adjustable slots. Lever lifts up to get toast out. Bagel and defrost setting. Adjustable knob for light to dark. Great price for the quality. Arrived quickly in a sealed box. Directions say for the first time using to run toaster without bread for the first time, to get rid of any smell. I ran it through twice, just to make sure it was all clear. Extremely happy with purchase.

It works well, but there was strong smell of plastic when first turned on. I assumed it might be that way as most appliances seem to rarely be tested or cleaned in advance. After about 10 minutes, the plastic smell went away.The toaster worked well, like a toaster been using for a week now.
