Love these lights. I have 18 of them throughout the house. They integrate well with home assistant and once they are setup, they work locally, no internet (still need a router). They are extremely responsive, I guess because they don't have to send a message to the cloud they are faster.Easy to install, they have Romex clips and 4 wire connectors already attached so you can daisy chain them together.I noticed they don't play well with dimmer switches, I have 6 of them installed with dimmer switches, they work if you calibrate them correctly but are wonky if someone turns the dimmer down to low. No problem, dim them with automations in home assistant, use the wiz app or cali rate them to the dimmer switch in the wiz app. When I see used ones on Amazon or if they go on sale I buy them and figure out to do with them later. My house was built in 1999 with no ceiling lights, just switches that power outlets. Adding these made a world of difference.

I had sworn off Wiz controlled lights. I purchased a dozen flood lights 3 years ago but had nothing but issues with them and thought that would be the last I ever purchased. Then after some research I heard that they had totally re-written the APP and solved many of the issues. I downloaded the app and sure enough most of the issues are gone. With this knowledge I decided to replace the bulbs (since a few were not responding) with these HALO units. HALO is well known and has been around for many years, and I wanted something that had lots of support. Since my housing was 6 inch, I had to go to the screw in connector, no problem, makes the job easier. One thing I learned from my last installation is name the lights so you know which one is which in case you have an issue later. So I used a grid naming convention and did ONE LIGHT AT A TIME! then added to the room. Each install went flawless, and I can control each bulb. So far I am very happy. The color selection is endless and the light is more than adequate. I like the new features of the WIZ 2 where you can tell it to go to the last color/light setting before turning off. Now I use this with my Leviton Wifi wall switch to control them remotely. While you can control it with the WIZ app, i prefer to turn on and off the lights under one app, since I have all the lights in the home under Leviton.Over the years I've learned that all of this has to be thought out in advance. The Wiz works ok, but I detest having to open an app to turn lights on and off, thats why I like Leviton because there is a physical switch on the wall. Yes I know you can use voice commands but I dont want that device, and it just makes things more complicated if you have a large home, and especially if you have visitors. Way too much tech overload. In summary, I am so pleased with these lights, Im going to replace a bunch of 4" LED lights that I recently added. As much as LED lights CLAIM to be nice light, they are NO REPLACEMENT for HALOGEN, do not have the same ambience, so going to an RGB light allows you to perfectly control the color. If I have issues with these in the future I'll update my review.

I wanted a light that lets me set an exact color temperature (not just a choice of 5). I want to set the color temperature and brightness once and then control it with a normal light switch. This light fits the bill perfectly. Now that I've configured it, it turns on immediately when powered on. No delay, and it's exactly as I configured it. Works perfectly even if the wifi is down.I also wanted a light that has a _local_ API. I don't trust that Halo/Wiz will stay in business. I also want to be able to control my lights with a script rather than having to use their app or Alexa or whatever. These lights expose a simple local API using JSON over UDP. Not as common as HTTP, but super easy to use and they respond to broadcasts, which is a nice bonus. There's a repo on GitHub showing how to do it.The construction is super solid. Comes with easy romex clips so you don't even need to use knockout clamps (though you can). Also comes with push connectors for the wires. It has a solid metal back, I'm guessing for heat dissipation. All in all, very well designed. It's UL certified too.
