Wow , they're bright.Im impressed by the ease of installation and the different light intensity options. My only concern is what do you do if you need a replacement, do we need to replace the box and light? Ive not seen just the light replacement on Amazon.

I bought these 4-inch lights to go over a washer and dryer. I am very impressed with how bright they are for the size. The installation was easy, but I did notice that the springs that hold them against the drywall are much tighter than other lights. They might not be easy to remove. If needed I would buy them again.

Let me start by saying that this is an incredible deal for 16 pieces. I only needed 10 and I guess that gives me 6 spares. For installation, make sure to get cable clamps (see picture), whether you buy new or recover them from a prior installation. Wire nuts (push clamps) are included. The driver box is separate from the incredibly thin recessed light. That makes wiring easier. That said, “recessed” lights does not really apply since they’re almost flush with the ceiling. Hence, the light is fully visible from anywhere in the room, not a spotlight.Once wired, make sure to set the right light temperature (tint). This is to set your preferred light and to make sure they match. (I’m the kitchen I chose the second “coolest” setting for a more realistic rendering of colors.Once the light is connected to the box, the hardest part starts. I find the spring mechanism a great idea (to pull the lights against the ceiling). However, the springs would make the ferocious mousetrap proud. They’re really strong and may snap at your fingers. The spring also interferes slightly with a standard size hole and requires a notch in the ceiling to fit. With such strong springs, it’s somewhat difficult to take the light back out for switching colors or whatever reason arises. These lights are rated at 9 W, and that means you need at least two (in parallel) for most electronic dimmers to work properly. I am using Cync by GE dimmers (for the style of the glow ring). As I have 10 lights on that dimmer, no light fixture adapter is required. So, everything works well upon installation, with one possible fly in the ointment: While other LED lights were able to dim to a slight glimmer, these are still fairly bright on the lowest setting. In the kitchen that’s okay, but different areas may not appreciate the brightness on the lowest setting.I just installed them, and the previous ones (different style and mfr) lasted about 3 years. Hence, I am hoping for at least that, but will update if things change.

These are so quick and easy to install. They come with everything you need and they're high quality. I used these to replace all the old can lights I had in my house. They fit right into place where the can lights used to sit. My favorite part is how much cost savings they provide. I didn't realize how much money I was wasting on electricity all because I had old lights. These have easily laid for themselves in the first year just by all the cost savings! Highly recommend for anyone whose looking to update their home from traditional cans to energy efficient and modern.I also used these to replace other light fixtures. The super thin design made it easy to jnatl them, even under joists they're as thick as drywall which means if drywall is there, you can out a light there.

Used these in our master bedroom and kitchen cabinets and they’ve been great. Decent dimming range, and can get pretty bright

These came very well packaged with all hardware included. Instructions call for 6 1/8 inch hole and that is the exact hole saw size to make the job a snap. The selectable color temperature switch is very accessible. I installed these in my garage soffit over my doors. The product indicates can be used indoors or outdoors, these are protected from direct weather so hopefully they last a long time. Definitely bright enough, and the beam is wide enough to cover the full 9' door width at the driveway level.
