LED working indicator:

signal indicator, when sensing magnet objects the light is on for normally open, the light is off for normally closed.

Difference between normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC):

Normally open (NO) is the usual state of the signal output line is disconnected state, no signal output, when sensed to the object is closed, the output signal.

Normally closed (NC) is the usual state of the signal output line for the closed state, continuous signal output, when the sense of the object is disconnected, close the signal.

Definition of Hall Switch:

A Hall switch is a magnetic-to-electric conversion element based on the Hall effect, which utilizes the Hall effect principle to convert changes in magnetic fields into detectable electrical signals.

Hall sensor size

Application:

Hall switches are widely used in automation control, smart home, intelligent logistics and other fields to detect and switch the presence and motion status of magnetic objects.

Hall effect sensors are not something most of us have much experience with where we actually know what they do. They sense magnetic fields. Not a piece of metal like an inductive sensor. They are used a lot in things like motion sensing of a magnet. Think speed sensor on a motor or drive shaft. The intensity changes as the distance of the magnet changes. Where a proximity is typically on or off when it detects a metallic object.I have seen folks think they can use this in place of an inductive or capacitive prox. And they are usually disappointed with the results. If you need a hall effect sensor, these are, and they work just fine (in my experience). But you do need to be aware of what they do or you will not likely be happy.
